    Great demonstration.
    The Grand Canyon vs Barrel example was perfect. Now I have the visual image of the sound folding back & bouncing around inside the barrel. Whereas I see the echo as going straight to a wall and coming straight back, not really affected by other surfaces.
    Also, love the hats 🎩.

    This video was actually extremely helpful. For the longest time i thought reverb & delay were both echoes which i would never want in my music... you are the first to explain this properly

    Great video! Very concise, well explained, nice examples, side by side. I mean I can see the difference now. And you know what will help me remember? The Grand Canyon and the steel barrel!! haha... excellent analogy... delay the Canyon (an echo effect), reverb the barrel.

    This is a good example of long delay vs reverb but if you were to set the delay pedal to a really short slap back there wouldn’t be so much difference. Personally I like to set a delay pedal to act as a reverb. I think it sounds less artificial

    Great video. It explains the difference well. I checked the dictionary and it contradicts this video in that it puts echo as a synonym of Reverb unlike in this video where you put echo as a synonym of Delay. However, I can think about the difference more clearly now by the way you put it, Delay as an echo and Reverb as a reverberation in a barrel. Thanks.
