Corrections: Correction - At 02:09, I state that the K580 keyboard only comes in the black & light gray color design. This wasn't entirely wrong since the Chrome OS edition of the K580 does only seem to come in only one color design. The standard/regular version of the K580 does, however, have an alternative color design of white & light gray. Something that I didn't realize was the case until after posting this video. Clarification - I realize that my statement of the K580 keyboard being the keyboard that future Chrome OS keyboards should strive to beat can be a bit confusing. I'm obviously not suggesting that the keyboard is suddenly perfect or flawless. I am, however, saying that, even with its flaws, the K580 has enough positive qualities to establish a kind of golden standard. A standard that future wireless Chrome OS keyboards should be expected to meet/beat to be seen as a good product.
Thanks for such a clear and thorough review! I just recently bought my first Chromebook (Lenovo Duet) and was going down a rabbit hole of looking for what peripherals I needed. This keyboard got mentioned many times, but most of the reviews were old and not that in depth, so I really appreciate this! As a new Chrome OS user, I don't gravitate towards the Chrome OS specific keys on my keyboard just yet, and given the size and my intended purpose (essentially living at my school and switching between in-class note taking and dedicated thesis writing), I think I will stick with the wired mechanical keyboard I have available for now, and, if I come to love these Chrome OS keys and need a semi portable wireless model, I will look into the K580! Thanks again!

Hi there, great review that you created here. I am just wondering, if you put your phone in the phone stand, does the phone angle feel awkward for typing?
It's not something that I focused on too much in this review, but yea...the phone angle *can* feel a bit awkward for typing. It does depend a bit on your positioning of the keyboard as well as the phone in question. It would be better if it allowed me to adjust the phone's angle when it's in the phone stand, but that might be asking for too much from the keyboard. Hope that helps.
Hi ! I'm trying to find a keyboard that i can even play games (Forza 5, RDR2, FIFA...) but i dont like noisy and big keys (Most of the gaming keyboards). There might be great models for low profile, rgb, quiet and good for gaming but they're expensive. So im just trying to find like my laptop keyboard. I know not the best option for gaming but in this case(money, silence) can u recommend it ? (K580=588TL/32$ same price as Razer Cynosa v2=620TL/34$)

The brydge keyboard goes to sleep after like 5 minutes of no use, it's a pain to constantly wake up, so good me I'd rather get a bigger keyboard 🤷♂️

Which is good for long typing k580 k380?
Between the two, I think the K580 is a lot more comfortable to use for long typing. It's bigger and has better key travel than the K380 does.
@@OctillionthTech by better key travel, do you mean higher key travel? does it require more force to actuate the keys?
