Fry and Failures in Feb 23

Just a quick update of the fry that are in the tanks in the first couple of months of 2023 along with some failed spawning attempts. Make sure that you have the sound turned on, especially in the last clip of the video.

Do you keep the sexes of egg scattering species segregated or in the same tank?

As a general rule it’s best if you can separate the sexes for a couple of weeks before a breeding attempt and try to condition them with good foods.

Great videos. Just found your channel last night. Have you tried spawning the pencilfish in tank 3/4 full of java moss? I have had success that way without even having to remove the adults.

It depends on the species of pencilfish. N. eques spawns on the underside of leaves unlike some of the other species such as the coral etc.

I’d love to see you breed Phenacogrammus Aurantiacus Paul, hard fish to get but be an interesting one to try
