I means all these effects are achievable using parallel processing but i have never ever seen so many things done as easily as with this plugin. Bought it just after it came out and still using it lol keep it up Cableguys
This is one reason why we've redesigned the browser - to make it easier/faster to find presets without getting caught up in settings. And each Shaper works in exactly the same way, so once you know how to use one of them, you can use each effect faster and stay in the flow 😉👍
Bought it (in the middle of a move right now away from my PC) but I'm already thinking of the crazy things Ive had in my head but are real tricky to do conventionally... Get the feeling I'm going to be having too much fun with this instead of actually making music!
There are few plugins I regularly use. The usual set of eqs, compressors and reverbs and almost every time ShaperBox on more than a few tracks. Absolut essential tool!
One of the best creative plugins out there. I would love to see a pitch module. Also be cool to have an additional smaller window in each module that lets you add envelopes for the wet knob of each module.

Can you Imagine the kind of EFX that thing would create with the type of disciplined controlled LFO algo's SB3 has all the other dif models then you add a Reverb that would most definitely Cable guys SB3 on>>>>G.O.A.T status for real for real just saying tho. Imagine a high quality reverb with all those other EFX (Crusher, Drive, Volume, Liquid, Time, Pan, Width etc) SB3 has & what they'd make the Reverb do. What'd be even SICKER Is If CG'z added a >>"DELAY" as well.
Just got it with the black friday upgrade deal. I generally dont like paying or plugins because most things can be done without expensive plugins, but cableguys is an exception. Reasonably priced powerful plug in that Im excited to dig into.
I got both, and honestly, I've been using it so much that Infiltrator is just collecting dust at this point. I find Shaperbox to be more user friendly with intuitive UI design and unlimited ways of manipulation your sound.
Well. It had to be either this or infiltrator 2. I went for the latter as it has a sequencer and the FFT effects. Couldn't afford to buy both. This does look quite cool though.
How do I retrieve my own user presets from version 2? Clicking on "sync" on SP3 doesn't bring them back and there's no "import" your presets from Shaperbox 2...
The ShaperBox 2 and ShaperBox 3 libraries are separate (as it simplified the code for us a lot), but now we're getting this request quite a lot, which was unexpected. We guess that an 'Import SB2 presets' option in the Main menu might be rather straightforward to implement, so the development team will discuss this week if they can add it 👍
We've just added it - if you sync presets in ShaperBox 3, you will now also get your ShaperBox 1 and ShaperBox 2 presets - if our server knows them. So if you're missing presets, please open ShaperBox 1 or 2 once and hit the Sync button there. Then open ShaperBox 3 and click the Sync button in the top bar. These presets will be prefixed with "SB1" or "SB2", and if you delete them in ShaperBox 3, they will still remain visible in ShaperBox 1 or 2.
It’s a HUGE issue. I contacted them personally about this and they were rude and dismissive about it. They basically said there was no way to import user presets and they sounded confused that extremely well known sound designers are selling third-party presets for their plug-in. Technically in FL studio you can add the FXP files but it doesn’t work in other DAWs. Huge issue they need to address it
number 6 is a Multiband gating....how do I get to this? It doesn't show any of the shapers and I can't find the "audio global triggers" showing top left.

how do I enable the side-chain input in fl studio? I linked the kick channel as "side-chain" to a receiver channel but it doesn't appear in shaperbox 3 somehow ...
Click on the cogwheel icon on the top of your plugin and then go to the "processing" tab. There you'll have a view of your connections. Look for "stereo sidechain" there and right click it and select what you want to link. Watch any tutorial that teaches you how to sidechain with a 3rd party plugin in FL if you're still having trouble.

@Cableguys PLEASE ELABORATE. Lots of well-known sound designers selling third-party presets for this plug-in and there is NO apparent way to get them into the plug-in. I have seen it done in FL studio but you can only do it one at a time and it is extremely painstaking. As far as I know it is not physically possible in logic. You guys have to address this.

It's ShaperBox's NoiseShaper adding white noise, then FilterShaper's low-pass filter clamping down on each note, for a 'pluck' effect. The raw synth is just a basic synth patch.
The full ShaperBox 3 comes with 10 Shaper effects, plus a Compressor and Oscilloscope. Shapers can also be bought individually, and they run inside the ShaperBox 3 plugin (the Shapers you do not own will run in demo mode). Hope this helps!
I would like to like it … but unfortunately on my system (Big Sur, logic, Intel MacBook Pro) the plugin's interface is freezed and unusable. might be some OpenGL issue, dont know. But support is rather a non-support by saying „Oh sorry, never heard of that problem, sorry for that. Bye“ … so … guess the plugin might be cool, if its working. Unfortunaetly not for me, And without proper support, such a product only sucks. So be carefull with that. Support-less software can allways be a pain in the ass.
Hi there. You mailed us saying you have a graphics problem, and that you have this issue with several plugins recently. Since you have the problem with other plugins too, and no other user has reported this graphics issue with ShaperBox, we explained that this means the problem lies with your particular system, not with ShaperBox. Therefore it is not something our developers can fix. You also asked how to turn OpenGL off, and we explained that this option isn’t available in ShaperBox on Mac as it’s the only graphics API we use.
@@Cableguys yes these were infos to help figuring out the problem. the other developers had workarounds that helped to make their plugins run. As a developer you should know about apple not longer supporting OpenGL in the future. my system and hardware are completely within the tech specs of shaperbox 3 and it is simply not working. Is it because of some OpenGL issues? i dont know, i am not a developer. But you dont even try to come up with a workaround. so i can only warn everybidy with my specific software+os-combo, because of the problems that emerge at least for me.
@@breitbanddesign Our plugins require OpenGL and there is not workaround for this. Apple will drop OpenGL support in future, and we are will aware of that and will be prepared when it happens.

And if so or not, i am a paying customer on Mac and i cannot agree, that you seem to be prepared to help with bugs in your plugin. Thats my not so great first impression. sry to say that. Poor customer journey so far.
HalfTime is focused 100% on half-speed effects. TimeShaper can do the half-time/half-speed effect and much more, such as scratch, glitch, stutter, repeat, speed-up, reverse, etc. As far as differences go when it comes to half-speed effects, HalfTime has two fully adjustable Smooth modes, Percussive and Sustain, which you can also set to long values for creative FX (FX and Swell modes). TimeShaper only has Percussive with a short, fixed smoothing time. The biggest difference, though, is convenience. HalfTime's interface makes it straightforward to create a slow-down effect (no setup - just add the plugin). In contrast, TimeShaper has an endless range of applications.
@@cesargonzalezbueno3359 You get all 9 Shaper modules - they can be used on their own, or in any combination. But they are not individual plugins - they run inside the ShaperBox 3 plugin. Is that what you mean?

We’ve put a great deal of time and effort into curating the ShaperBox 3 preset library. We’ve improved presets ported over from ShaperBox 2, and have ultimately gone for quality over quantity. We elected to start again, in order to bring it down to a more manageable size, and to capitalise fully on the new features of the updated Shapers. But: If there's some preset that you really like in ShaperBox 2, you can open it in ShaperBox 2 and save it as your own (if it does not allow you to save it and says "It's already in the Library", then simply make a super-tiny change somewhere in the preset and save it then). Then sync. Afterwards open ShaperBox 3 and sync there, and this preset will pop up under your own presets. Having said that, we might introduce a "Legacy" section of presets. We're currently discussing this.
@@Cableguys ok, thanks. Well, it's always a matter of personal taste, but there were lots more good presets in 2 than in 3 now imo. I usually save my presets in Reaper and not in a plugin's preset folder, but ok I will try.
@@TheValueOfN That's actually implemented now. Update to the latest version of ShaperBox 3, hit "Sync" in the Top Bar, and choose "Show Legacy Presets" in the Main menu. Then the "All" category shows additional 6000 SB1 and SB2 presets.
@@Cableguys I've only just acquired 3 after being swayed towards Infiltrator 2 in my quest for multi FX goodness during the Black Friday chaos. The sequencer function was what did it for me. In a moment of drunkenness, I bought my first Cableguys creation a week or so ago and I've loved every moment that I've spent experimenting with it. I should state that the main reason for giving you my money is that I've always wanted a VST that provides a close-to-authentic vinyl scratch effect. I'm impressed! My i9 12900HX isn't coping so well with it though. Do you have any recommendations for optimising laptop (MSI GE77HX) PCs so that the audio becomes smooth, (without stuttering and dropouts)? I love the potential that I can't reap yet because of my computer illiteracy.
The tips I get from this channel are the reason I use Shaperbox as much as I do.

ShaperBox 3 is 64bit only. If you're running a 32bit demo, then that must be ShaperBox 2..

can you export or import user presets?
Not from the plugin. But you can save presets (eg,.fxp) using your DAW's preset system 👍

which one better?
HalfTime is focused 100% on half-speed effects. TimeShaper can do the half-time/half-speed effect and much more, such as scratch, glitch, stutter, repeat, speed-up, reverse, etc.
As far as differences go when it comes to half-speed effects, HalfTime has two fully adjustable Smooth modes, Percussive and Sustain, which you can also set to long values for creative FX (FX and Swell modes). TimeShaper only has Percussive with a short, fixed smoothing time.
The biggest difference, though, is convenience. HalfTime's interface makes it straightforward to create a slow-down effect (no setup - just add the plugin). In contrast, TimeShaper has an endless range of applications.
Shaperbox needs a one knob module too 😂

Yes, ShaperBox 3 contains all 9 Shaper effects. They all run inside the ShaperBox 3 VST/VST3/AU/AAX plugin 👍

We’ve put a great deal of time and effort into curating the ShaperBox 3 preset library. We’ve improved presets ported over from ShaperBox 2, and have ultimately gone for quality over quantity. We elected to start again, in order to bring it down to a more manageable size, and to capitalise fully on the new features of the updated Shapers.
But: If there's some preset that you really like in ShaperBox 2, you can open it in ShaperBox 2 and save it as your own (if it does not allow you to save it and says "It's already in the Library", then simply make a super-tiny change somewhere in the preset and save it then). Then sync. Afterwards open ShaperBox 3 and sync there, and this preset will pop up under your own presets.
Having said that, we might introduce a "Legacy" section of presets. We're currently discussing this.
@@Cableguys ok, thanks. Well, it's always a matter of personal taste, but there were lots more good presets in 2 than in 3 now imo.
I usually save my presets in Reaper and not in a plugin's preset folder, but ok I will try.

@@TheValueOfN That's actually implemented now. Update to the latest version of ShaperBox 3, hit "Sync" in the Top Bar, and choose "Show Legacy Presets" in the Main menu. Then the "All" category shows additional 6000 SB1 and SB2 presets.
@@Cableguys I've only just acquired 3 after being swayed towards Infiltrator 2 in my quest for multi FX goodness during the Black Friday chaos. The sequencer function was what did it for me. In a moment of drunkenness, I bought my first Cableguys creation a week or so ago and I've loved every moment that I've spent experimenting with it. I should state that the main reason for giving you my money is that I've always wanted a VST that provides a close-to-authentic vinyl scratch effect. I'm impressed! My i9 12900HX isn't coping so well with it though. Do you have any recommendations for optimising laptop (MSI GE77HX) PCs so that the audio becomes smooth, (without stuttering and dropouts)?
I love the potential that I can't reap yet because of my computer illiteracy.
