Great video Steve very disappointing for you but you are the man to get the engine going !!!👌. I admire your honesty and showing how thing's don't always go to plan with theses old machines, looking forward to the next video 👌👍
Check the fuel cut control pin (remove the cover plate, lift the pin out and clean the pin and the bore with carb cleaner to remove any gummy diesel) is not gummed and sticking in the bottom of it's bore as the pin needs to be able to move up & down (opening the port at the bottom of the bore) as well as being able to twist round (the fuel groove on the side) as i've seen this on a few CAV DPA pumps on machines i'm trying to get going again after standing for long periods.
Another good video 👍 yes old equipment is sent to try us sometimes 😐 forgetting to put the retaining washers on just a senior moment 😁 i refitted my diesel tank tightened up the 8 bolts some of which are a nightmare to stop from turning then discovered i hadn't fitted the sediment bowl and surprise surprise wasn't room to fit it with the diesel tank on 🤬🤬🤣👍
good video

Really enjoying these videos, I’m recommissioning an Allis Gleaner at the moment and I’ve had plenty of struggles, but keep up the good work 👍

Very frustrating for you but you will get there soon! Great video.
These things happen from time to time it will go in the end ! Great video again !
Another excellent video! Looking forward to seeing the engine running!
Only a minor blip steve bet you had it sorted in no time at all
give it a shot of either and keep it running on it i am sure the pump would soon free off once spinning round
Been there done that unfortunately thanks anyway 👍
No need for a flywheel dowel. No perkins had them. The hole was just to time the flywheel to the crank so that the timing marks are correct.
Always wandered why they were missing 😊
