Nothing you post up is boring - always interesting. You're a very talented young man with a variety of skillsets. Always admire your thinking and initiative in how you overcome some really awkward problems and your ethos in not taking shortcuts when it matters and getting things done right even if it takes you longer to do. It's been, and still is, enjoyable watching your journey. You can and should be very proud of what you've done and what you do. The agricultural folks are lucky to have you around. Every time I watch Oliver's videos and see him working, I must think of a "good" wife for him, that's what I cordially wish to him.
Part 2 would be a great idea. The pins and bushing will fit perfectly by the end of the next haying season. Great to see you spending time with your father, don't take that for granted. I miss my father every day.

I was working in the IT world, but cars, trucks, big V8 engines, dozers and drag lines were "my hobby" and my dad also enjoyed it. Mis him already 30 years🙄 I'm retired now for almost 5 years and enjoy every Tuesday when working on old Ex Mod Landrovers to keep them running and safe.

Yes, a part 2 would be cool to watch. I like all of your content. You have divergent thinking, which allows you to work around problems as you go. This was handy for me in the practice of medicine since some patients did not walk out of a textbook.

Absolutely part 2...then patch up the worn spots in the frame with some nice weld...most definitely strengthen up the mount point to the frame so it doesn't twist in the frame Such great content...and having to modify on the fly but making a working setup for strength and utility! Keep em coming!!!!

Great stuff, as a now retired Brit engineer living in the US, your work and intuitive grasp of how to make it work is a wonderful respite from the sterile CNC CAD workflows. We come from different discipline’s, yet you have that prewired understanding thought process that few others have. Seems the older apprentice knows how to graft , I'd hang on to him .. a great video and not surprising a few hiccups but overcame in normal Oliver fashion . A good first impression on the little jasic welder possibly worth an in depth review on another job to show possible potential for lighter little jobs . Thanks for having us along

Really good looking job. Investing in the machines and tools and apparently an education are paying off for you and your family. A lot of young people today can’t see that. An old welder once told me that you start a new duty cycle every time you strike an arc. I have noticed I can do stop and go welding all day on a short duty cycle machine without problems overheating.
Definatly do a part two, all the fiddling around is all real world stuff. Looking forwards to part two already😂. Didn't see any grease nipples but I'm sure you have it covered. Nice to see you working with the old man too 😊
Part 2 would be good ! can i be cheeky and say grease nipples on the pivots ! you see a lot of those pivot axle trailers driving down the road with the wheels tipping in at the top through lack of grease , like the back wheels a triumph herald , you might have to ask your dad about the triumph herald bit ha ha ! love your vids keep them coming
Good call on lowering the axel set , and I agree with your comment to add some additional plating to the I beam in the concentrated load section of the axel set beam to I beam. Really enjoyed watching you and your Dad working together, I grew up on a farm in Western Canada and worked with my Dad almost every day I eventually became an engineer and I used to fall back on a lot of what he taught me in both in practical engineering matters and I dealing with every day frustrating issues. Looking forward to next week’s episode!
