As someone who’s never seen midsommar, Im going to believe this was what happened and just roll with it
The thing to understand is that this is a joke, edited video clip from the film ‘Midsommar’. The original is exactly the same, except the song is ‘Hobo Humpin Slobo Babe’
You are right on track there about just believing this is what happened and rolling with it! It may as well been part of the movie for how bizarre and disjointed it all was! lol
I'm gonna ruin it for a second lmfao. Her boyfriend basically gets drugged into having segzy time with a woman and other naked women watching them
You are very wise to do such thing.
Yes. Do this. If you can deal with the horrors exhibited on the floor of a happy hardcore rave you can deal with anything.
My daughter made a point while watching this. Horror is almost always shot in the dark. This movie is stunningly brightly lit throughout with cloudless skies. Makes it seem more sinister.
As in "An American werewolf in London", in which the terrifying transformation takes place with, as a soundtrack, Blue Moon...
That was the whole point of this movie, its the counterpart to the directors first movie Hereditary, which was shot mostly at night.
It does!
In Finland we call midsommar a "nightless night" because the sun doesn't go down anywhere in Finland. I guess that's the same for Sweden. It would be a bit weird if a movie named "Midsommar" would be dark

the creepiest part was when they where all crying at the same time but lowkey reminded me of whenever you mock a baby
Actually, after the trauma this movie gave me, I read a few analogies. One of them said, that when Dani called her boyfriend in grief of the loss for her family, he wasn't fully there. Sure he was present, but more due to pity and sympathy, whereas then women crying with her shows empathy. As if she found her "real" family
I think it is just their way to show the unity of their family. When the men were burning alive at the end, the people were also screaming and twisting just like they really felt the horrible pain
@@CattyLoveKittenLove I always thought that in the beginning she was afraid to show emotions because she was afraid of losing her boyfriend. But then them crying and stuff was a weird way to show her that showing emotions and feeling grief was ok.
@@pookiesis1465 its a bit of both, essentially they were love bombing her. Its all part of their plan to indoctrinate her into their cult. They did what they did to christian, then led her to beliebe he cheated on her, so that way she would mentally "break" and they could swoop in, love bomb her, and indoctrinate her into the cuIt. Any sane person would be freaked out by the group's crying, but Dani has been through so much trauma and was so vuInerabIe that it worked on her and made her dependent on them
@@CattyLoveKittenLove I assumed it was a cultural thing they carried with them. I swear I’ve seen the shared grief thing before somewhere else in the world.
I remember watching this scene where she's crying and everyone's crying together and being like " she's at peace"
And legit was so weirded out
The actual scene was very fucked up in her perspective. She saw her boyfriend having sex with another girl, not sure if she knew exactly who. I remember this scene, but I’m not sure if she knew who it was her man was “messing with.” At this point, I am confidently going call that scene a molesting scene, because we all know that her boyfriend would have never done that if he wasn’t drugged.
Yeah they put drugs in his drinks I’m not sure what they would call it but it makes them very loopy and at the end it’s so sad for him..
@@2939k_ He was just recently drugged. He was drinking a period drink and eating something with pubes in it, from that girl he had sex with. After his girlfriend became the flower queen or whatever, a guy took him to a shed or something and have him something to drink, which made me wary, then he got some stuff blown on his face, which completed the drug. Then he was like, in a trance or something and clearly he wasn't in the right state of mind with that drug he'd been drugged with. After his orgasm, he came back to reality and ran out that building.
Honestly, this movie kinda makes my blood boil, because you are not going to get outvof there alive even if you wanted to.
