well in full moon and 24 hours sunmi used the jyp half air half sound technique as she was still under jyp at that time but now she has a more distinct style and she strays away from the half air half sound technique

But these impressionists were also insanely talented.

Same I’m not her fan I just know her and her popular songs cause I’m a K-pop fan but I still got it right both rounds. First round I was confused between 2&4 but I replayed it and guessed 2 but for the second one it was immediately clear to me XD
i personally feel that sunmi voice is one of the easiest to recognise among all the hidden singer episodes i watched tho. her husky voice & how she handle her notes are just one of a kind.
I played along and got it right both rounds 😂 Sunmi is my favourite female solo artist so I'm not surprised. But all of the impressionists were amazing and had lovely vocals.
I've listened to Sunmi's songs on repeat for a very long time, enough to be able to figure out which booth had her in it. During the initial listen, I was torn between booths 2-4, but after the second round of singing I knew with absolute certainty that she was in booth 2 -- and I was right! Yup, even in round 2 I got it right and knew almost instantly that she was in booth 4. It could be because Gashina is one of the songs I've listened to a lot and watched and listened to the live stages of and know how it goes but also the fact that she mentioned her voice technique for the song differed -- when you sing with your full voice, it's done differently from person to person. I don't know what it is, but Sunmi's is both soft and strong, not exactly airy but at least compared to the other four singers, definitely and for sure softer than them.

as someone who only listens to sunmi very casually, i was completely lost in round one, but in round two her voice sounded very distinct compared to the others. all the contestants were amazing tho!

Not sure if the subsequent terms are correct, but Sunmi’s voice is rich(?), and her low notes sound very full(?), which to me are the charming points of her voice and why it might have sounded more distinct to me, coupled with her quite distinct articulation and breathing. And one thing for sure, her voice doesn’t stretch thin(?) at higher notes, which makes her very obvious in round 2.

First listen I KNEW it was No.2 Becasue Sunmi has this metallic quality in her voice that the others don't posess and it's rare in Kpop for her voice type to be that metallic. I don't know what is this show or what happens in here nor i'm a fan of Sunmi(but i obv know her and like her songs) but i stumbled upon this video and i find it so exciting to guess who is the original artist. When i heard the 4th one, i immediately went "this is how she sang it! It's her!" So yeah lol, i will definitely start to follow this show more.
Let's be real, even the greatest singer have their bad days they couldn't possibly produce same quality all the time. All the others are skilled enough they could pass as her. Not to mention, it's been 8 years since Full Moon, Sunmi could sing it in an entirely different emotion with her current improved technique as well.

I don't know what is this show or what happens in here nor i'm a fan of Sunmi(but i obv know her and like her songs) but i stumbled upon this video and i find it so exciting to guess who is the original artist. I didn't know much in first round but i guessed Sunmi right in the second round coz as the replies already said, Gashina is really exclusive to her. When i heard the 4th one, i immediately went "this is how she sang it! It's her!" So yeah lol, i will definitely start to follow this show more.

Let's be real, even the greatest singer have their bad days they couldn't possibly produce same quality all the time. All the others are skilled enough they could pass as her. Not to mention, it's been 8 years since Full Moon, Sunmi could sing it in an entirely different emotion with her current improved technique as well.
