Dan, thanks for doing what you do. Our city had a similar issue with stuff being dumped and they mounted a “camera” on a pole. I learned later from a city worker that it was fake…just a Pipe and red flashing light and solar panel for the red flashing light. And that seemed to make a world of difference for that location. They continued doing that throughout the dump areas. Might be a cheap fix to deter people.
Just north of NYC---We don't have dumping of large objects here, mostly plastic bottles, pieces of paper and paper cups that people throw from their car windows. I've always had a litter bag in my car, ever since I started driving 51 years ago.
I live on a beautiful island called Guernsey in the Channel Islands (between France and the U.K.) and yes, unfortunately, people still litter here too. We also have a lot of plastics and fishing litter coming into our beaches with the tides. Also cargo spills and a lot of empty water bottles thrown into the sea from cargo vessels etc. It really is infuriating how disrespectful many of the human race are towards their surroundings.
Population increase, more folks that do not give a crap about where they live, and exponential increase in plastics. When I was a kid all the bottles were glass, now everything is plastic and non bio-degradables, this stuff just stays around forever.
I live in york (uk). We have a bit of littering but nothing like you have. If i see fly tipping it is often just an odd mattress. But i believe places like London have a lot of littering.
Don't understand this. Why don't people just leave their stuff for their weekly or biweekly sanitation truck pickup? This isn't a Third World country where they don't have trash pickup.
Thank you for your hard work. It's such a massive problem everywhere.

Some people sure don't give a rats ass do they? Sad. Thanks for making a difference!
Unfortunately, it's not just Maryland. It's everywhere .
Terrific job! Same story with many roads in the UK too.

In one year I found 4200 dollars worth of discarded scrap metal just tossed out in our public field
That's incredible, I am nowhere near that amount
I love his uncensored comments, telling exactly what he thinks of those jerks.

Plastic in the oceans will be the scourge of our times, and maybe our undoing.
In the UK they call it fly tipping. Someone will offer a homeowner to dispose their waste for a fee and then just dump it on the road.😮
Yep, that is exactly what's going on here, over and over.
Sadly it’s just as bad here in SE Pa. It wasn’t bad years ago growing up, but population increase has changed that.

Because we are an instant gratification nation, we want it gone now, consequences be damned, they want it out of their house
Can you get the city to mount a trail camera to catch these jerks?
I am considering buying a few. Its not a priority to my county sadly.
