That was an absolute stack load Paul, evening scrapping paid off very well, I always go in the evening. Great job and ahahhhhh copper 🙆♀️🧡 It made me chuckle the way they had crumpled the light fittings into the bin. I got whole car full of light fittings a few weeks back, think we will find more and more as people switch to more energy efficient models. Happy Easter Paul and to all 🙂

Hey, Paul! It is Veterans Day 2023 so if you were in the service, thank you for serving. I just saw that your address says Illinois and I am from Indiana. Now in VA, I find it very relaxing riding around with you and enjoy your chats with people. I used to strip the cords for my husband. One year he stripped an end loader and we had a lot to spend on vacation.

Make sure you cut the ends off and separate them copper pipes, #1 pays more than #2 copper (with lead)

Just found your channel and it takes me back a few years. I use to scrap everyday when I was younger. It started out as a way to make some extra change. And then I turned out that I could make a living doing it. I had a water heater company that I purchased all thier old water heaters from. And they had a loading dock that I could leave the waters heaters there and let them accumulate. I would pay 75 cents each for them and I would get all the old copper oipe and brass fittings off them it turned out to be a great adventure. And I also had a few air conditioner companies that they would give me all thier old air conditioners. And I had many more buss that I would pick up all thier old scrap I have watched a few of your videos. And I see that you are not doing it properly. I wish I could be there to show you a few tricks. You need to get yourself an old hatchet and some good tin snips along with a few tools with you.
Is your yard at home sufficient for nough to take things apart in. I seen in one of your videos that you were storing some of your items. Stock piling if. Electric motors from washing machines and dryers dishwashers etc. your doing the right thing by clipping the cords off everything. Stock pile that stuff. Are you stripping the wire or are you able to burn it little by little. Screen doors save them take them apart and take them in when you got a hood pile of them. Don’t worry about the glass. You can always put that in the garage.
Let me know how you’re doing all your precious metals. There are metals I seen you throw away leaving them attached to items. That let’s say instead of making 63 dollars with a little bit of patience and knowledge you could have made another hindered or so. All your lawn mowers have what’s called dirty aluminum on them. And the decks of the lawn mowers on some of them are aluminum. Don’t give the scrap yard money that you could be making. Believe me they pay a person to take some of this scrap apart. So that they can make the money that most scrappers leave behind.
