Remarkable capture! The down climb near “Many Goats” though, oy. Appreciated your view sweeps with trail and pass locations clarified. Just outstanding work.
This video is a masterpiece; my husband watched it, planned our trip and just got back and I was excited to see it again; really excellent job, I love how you lay out the hiking plan everyday, your footage is educational and beautiful; this is a perfect video; thank you! By the way, we had an amazing trip!
The most unique trip we did that summer as far as the diversity that can be found in the Wallowa Mountains. I will always remember that lightning blast in Cusick Basin that lit the world up around me when I got out to fix the tent in the storm. Super fun times.
pat, joey and tony on my recent bob marshall trip got a great laugh out of that story. I remember how loud you swore as the earth shook from the thunder boom after the flash
We are headed up to Lakes Basin in a couple of weeks. It was great to see the route you found from Razz Lake to Ice Lake. We might be giving it a try ourselves.
Awesome vlog! Well done. I've been to the Eagle Caps many times and to all those places over the years with the exception of the Cusick peak basin. I believe the maps call that Honeymoon Basin. One day i'll do that. Apparently the oldest limber pine is on the back side of Cusick on the Imnaha side. Thanks for sharing the trip down memory lane (trail).
Great video! The Eagle Caps are amazing and this video proves that once again. Of course... you had to take the tough way and give me a look at some areas that I will probably never see. This looked like a hell of an adventure. You were in same area as I was last year, and you probably just stepped over the route I took as you went up another draw. Loved it!
Thank you for this astoundingly beautiful video! Do you have a map of the route/trails/off-trail excursions you took? Again, thank you for this astoundingly beautiful video!
This is a great route! I backpack eagle cap all the time! I was impressed with this route. I want to try it. Havent done too much off trail in the eagle caps. You should come out this summer, ill go with ya! Have no friends who backpack so im solo 99.99999% of the time. Anyways great video. B. Fairweather
@@NorthwestWanderer Thanks for the great share! Is this caltopo your actual route or planned? Trying to really understand how to best approach downclimb from "Many Goats" and the one down to Ice Lake. Thanks!
@@matthewd7967 I redrew it based off memory of the trip so it should be kinda close. I used a paper map for this trip as primary navigating and the gps didnt track location / route it just calculated elevation gain and mileage walked
Epic journey. I've been looking for someone to do at least and 4 day hike with me. I followed along with my map. Thanks. Hopefully find someone to do it with me.
So awesome! We’ve actually been planning just about the same route for 2021. What was the dates of your trips? Just trying to figure out snow levels of the area
That’s a long highlight reel of a five star destination. Thanks for sharing it.

Your camera has great depth. What were you using?
Sony AX-53, it's an awesome all around camcorder.
Is there a McDonald's restaurant
For the love of God, don’t ask that dude a question again.
