The trick is Not waking up early but Going To Bed early. This is more difficult than waking up early and you will Automatically wake up early. This has been truly life-changing.

I had no idea my productive day was more than 24 hour. Because I do so much in 1 day. That was good to know. I am a front line worker. My strength is raising two autistic teenagers with a needy husband. I'm a writer and I do workshops on helping children with autism. And I preach the word of God to my coworkers. There's been days were I've been up for 36 hour with no sleep. I passed the speaker.
Have gone through a ton of material to find the perfect fit. This time it seems Evan Carmichael has given the simplest answers best suited to my problems. Setting goals : 1. Write down the goal 2. Set a date on it 3. List all the obstacles that are needed to overcome 4. Identify the people , the groups , the organisations that you need to work with 5. Spell out a plan of action - Set the time limit in there 6. Identify all the benefits of actually doing it
Biggest takeaway was to set only 5 tasks to do for the day and don't move on to the next until the first is finished. I think so many times I set a huge to do list and don't feel accomplished when I haven't completed it all or even overwhelmed when seeing how long the list is

I've been reading encyclopedias and journals on science, math, stats, technology, industry, finance, economics, business, politics, geopolitics, and national security, since the age of 9, from 1976, and have multiple degrees in engineering, so there is nothing that I can't do, provided I have the time. Time, money, and human resources are the only limiting constraints. I'm 56, so I need to be able to enjoy the money with private jets to travel the world, expedition yachts to explore extreme seascapes and landscapes, sailing yachts to relish the shallow waters of the tropics, helicopters to scale mountains and to explore the intractable parts of the shores, oceanfront recreational ranches to tire and work myself, physically, into unwinding and relaxing, temperate islands to enjoy the peace and tranquil, and swathes of the city to live the night life.

my take home message is do just 5-6 things a day and if they dont happen that day we can still add it up to next day to make the next dy's 5-6 in order to become more focussed and productive.

You make an effort only if you are certain you will get what you need. You make time only after you're certain you'd be able to get what you need within the time-frame that you want it, in accordance with the plan you've made to get it. The control that you can exercise over your life, to meet your needs and wants, is a function of money; no wonder, it’s a function of wealth, power, privilege, and love, and, for others, even fame. Since you derive contentment and happiness from the control you can exercise over your life, to meet your needs and wants, this means that happiness is a function of money. You need an adequate amount of money at the right time in your life. Your need for money is different at different stages through your life. At my age, of 56 years, unless I can generate enough money quickly to squeeze the past 56 years of living into the next 4 years before I’m too old and frail to enjoy life physically or too bitter and dejected to enjoy it intellectually or emotionally, it would be too little and too late in life, so it wouldn’t have any impact on my life. Furthermore, unless the money that I generate is sufficient for me to spend $7,000/hour on private jet, $40,000/day on my expedition yacht, $ 1,500/hour on my private helicopter, $2,000/day on my sailing, and $1000/day on assorted servants, secretaries and assistants, it wouldn’t have any material impact on my life, so I wouldn’t bother pursuing it. I have a car, a house, and servants, even at present, so unless the amount is adequate to alter my lifestyle significantly, it would have absolutely no impact on my life. Unless it can buy me a private island for around $60 million, an oceanfront recreational ranch for around $30 million, a swath of the city for around $50 million, a private jet for around $10 to $90 million, an expedition yacht for around $20 million, a sailing yacht for around $5 million, and provide me with annual recurring income of around $60 million/year, it wouldn’t really have an impact on my life, so I wouldn’t even bother pursuing it.
Time management and habits are for children. Those of us, who are engineers and doctors, have studied for 16 damn hours, every damn day, for the first 22 or 24 years of our lives. We’ve also had exemplary habits to have excelled at every subject and everything that we’ve pursued in our lives to have made the grades to qualify for engineering and medical schools, and then excelled at that to have graduated, and finally prevailed in very competitive corporate environments, so all of that is kid’s stuff to us. It’s something that we’ve done numerous times over through the first 20 to 30 years of our lives. At my age, of 56 years, what I want in the time-frame that I want it in, is too much for me to pursue on my own, so I would need to lead and manage employees to wok on the different facets to what I want. I need to scale the effort with employees. If I can work 1,000 hours in 24 hours through better time management, it still wouldn’t be adequate. At my age, I also can’t cook, drive, run around after my children, clean and tidy up, and then study with and groom and my children, so I also need servants to relegate cooking, cleaning and nannying my children to. I also need governesses to be responsible for the grooming and education of my children.
Keep your mind focused on your plans for the day. When Andrew Carnegie started his enterprise, he became super successful within a short period of time. People suspected he was doing something illegal and when they investigated him and found nothing wrong they asked him how he did it. He told them he would keep his mind focused on something for five minutes a stretch so keep your mind focused and quit multi tasking.

It is so important to set yourself goals for the day and too stay consistent! You won't believe what you can get done with these two extremely powerful tools!

Biggest takeaway was to set only 5 tasks to do for the day and don't move on to the next until the first is finished. I think so many times I set a huge to do list and don't feel accomplished when I haven't completed it all or even overwhelmed when seeing how long the list is

I've been reading encyclopedias and journals on science, math, stats, technology, industry, finance, economics, business, politics, geopolitics, and national security, since the age of 9, from 1976, and have multiple degrees in engineering, so there is nothing that I can't do, provided I have the time.
Time, money, and human resources are the only limiting constraints.
I'm 56, so I need to be able to enjoy the money with private jets to travel the world, expedition yachts to explore extreme seascapes and landscapes, sailing yachts to relish the shallow waters of the tropics, helicopters to scale mountains and to explore the intractable parts of the shores, oceanfront recreational ranches to tire and work myself, physically, into unwinding and relaxing, temperate islands to enjoy the peace and tranquil, and swathes of the city to live the night life.

Point number 4 and 5 was very important to me as I waste lot of time simultaneously tying to do to many 'importannt' things'. my take home message is do just 5-6 things a day and if they dont happen that day we can still add it up to next day to make the next dy's 5-6 in order to become more focussed and productive.

You make an effort only if you are certain you will get what you need.
You make time only after you're certain you'd be able to get what you need within the time-frame that you want it, in accordance with the plan you've made to get it.
The control that you can exercise over your life, to meet your needs and wants, is a function of money; no wonder, it’s a function of wealth, power, privilege, and love, and, for others, even fame.
Since you derive contentment and happiness from the control you can exercise over your life, to meet your needs and wants, this means that happiness is a function of money.
You need an adequate amount of money at the right time in your life. Your need for money is different at different stages through your life.
At my age, of 56 years, unless I can generate enough money quickly to squeeze the past 56 years of living into the next 4 years before I’m too old and frail to enjoy life physically or too bitter and dejected to enjoy it intellectually or emotionally, it would be too little and too late in life, so it wouldn’t have any impact on my life.
Furthermore, unless the money that I generate is sufficient for me to spend $7,000/hour on private jet, $40,000/day on my expedition yacht, $ 1,500/hour on my private helicopter, $2,000/day on my sailing, and $1000/day on assorted servants, secretaries and assistants, it wouldn’t have any material impact on my life, so I wouldn’t bother pursuing it.
I have a car, a house, and servants, even at present, so unless the amount is adequate to alter my lifestyle significantly, it would have absolutely no impact on my life.
Unless it can buy me a private island for around $60 million, an oceanfront recreational ranch for around $30 million, a swath of the city for around $50 million, a private jet for around $10 to $90 million, an expedition yacht for around $20 million, a sailing yacht for around $5 million, and provide me with annual recurring income of around $60 million/year, it wouldn’t really have an impact on my life, so I wouldn’t even bother pursuing it.

Time management and habits are for children.
Those of us, who are engineers and doctors, have studied for 16 damn hours, every damn day, for the first 22 or 24 years of our lives.
We’ve also had exemplary habits to have excelled at every subject and everything that we’ve pursued in our lives to have made the grades to qualify for engineering and medical schools, and then excelled at that to have graduated, and finally prevailed in very competitive corporate environments, so all of that is kid’s stuff to us. It’s something that we’ve done numerous times over through the first 20 to 30 years of our lives.
At my age, of 56 years, what I want in the time-frame that I want it in, is too much for me to pursue on my own, so I would need to lead and manage employees to wok on the different facets to what I want. I need to scale the effort with employees. If I can work 1,000 hours in 24 hours through better time management, it still wouldn’t be adequate.
At my age, I also can’t cook, drive, run around after my children, clean and tidy up, and then study with and groom and my children, so I also need servants to relegate cooking, cleaning and nannying my children to. I also need governesses to be responsible for the grooming and education of my children.

Keep your mind focused on your plans for the day. When Andrew Carnegie started his enterprise, he became super successful within a short period of time. People suspected he was doing something illegal and when they investigated him and found nothing wrong they asked him how he did it. He told them he would keep his mind focused on something for five minutes a stretch so keep your mind focused and quit multi tasking.
