I'm not a wheelchair user, but I recently got my lower back hurt. It will recover, but in the meantime I needed some kind of upper body cardio. I can't do anything that involves my lower body because it aggravates the injury. I found that your workout is perfect! When I finish my heart is pumping like I need it to for me to feel good the rest of the day. Thanks you very much!

This is a great little simple workout. I’m at my least fittest ever, currently and suffering with shoulder and neurological problems where it hurts me to lift my arms above my head. So I actually really struggled to do this the first time. I adapted the timings a bit so that I have 15 second rests in between and it feels great 👍

This was definitely challenging- I loved it! I thought oh 10 min will be easy, haha! I was wrong. It was very challenging. Thank you for making these videos, I feel like I am finally getting in shape and not having to take other workout videos and adapt to me being in a wheelchair because you have already done it.:)
Adapt To Perform very good, it pushes you and definitely gets the heart rate up. You should put a video of you on your hand bike, I’m sure people like myself C6-C7 would like to see!

Great workout Ben. I'm currently using a gym that has two handbikes but not a great amount of useable weights options, and I'm considering swapping to another gym that doesn't have handbikes but is better for weights, so this would be a good help in improving my cardio fitness.
I would say that weights are generally a better option for wheelchair users. We overuse our shoulders as it is. Strengthen them with weights will help you 💪
@@AdaptToPerform that's a very good point and I'd never really considered things from that point of view. I think partly because I'd always got such a good cardio workout I'd got emotionally locked to the need to do it. If that makes any sense!
Yeah I understand that! I do maybe 10mins of cardiovascular work per week, instead I up the intensity of my resistance training. No issues with fatigue or getting out of breath

In terms of losing weight your calorie intake is more important if you want to lose it fast. cardio is more for the heart and lungs, keeping you healthy. Do cardio 30mins 3 times a week. Do resistance training (weights) at least 2 times a week and you'll notice the difference soon

So here I was thinking these look not strenuous at all, especially considering that I have large muscle mass because I push myself for miles on a daily basis and lift my 300 pounds like nothing, so I've queued up like four videos to do as a morning exercise from now on, every day. ... four and a half minutes into this video, which was the first exercise video after the warm-up video, I had to stop, because everything hurts, because I never actually stretched out my muscles, I built up all this muscle by doing very confined movements, so everything is crackling with each of these large moves, and I'm pulling muscles like crazy. I feel like a fool.
Temporarily disabled due to a foot injury and this channel is perfect. You saved my cardio for the next couple of weeks. Thank you!!!

Yeah this is just a super light broom handle but definitely does the job!

Great cardio workout, just the music was too loud. With my low vision, it's hard to hear you or your timer (which I use to know when to change)
