(in English)
Koji Segawa who is a nature photographer lost his life to save a young girl Kana Kimura from evil organization named "FOG". However, he was revived and transforms to KAMEN RIDER J by energy of the land. He fights against "FOG" to save human races.

Koji Segawa, un photographe spécialiste de la nature, a perdu la vie pour sauver une jeune fille, Kana Kimura, de l'organisation maléfique nommée " FOG ". Cependant, il a été ressuscité et se transforme en KAMEN RIDER J grâce à l'énergie de la terre. Il se bat contre " FOG " pour sauver la race humaine.

This wasn't intended as a trilogy though. From what I heard both ZO and J were attempts at making a new Kamen Rider Ichigo and Nigo duo for the 90's.

Shin , ZO and J are the only Kamen Riders which turn into trilogy movie throughout the 90's
I love the practical effects In this movie. Back then they were so creative with what they could do and I appreciate it. This movie was my childhood. J will always be my hero.
Agreed, whereas todays Kamen rider is all about computer graphics. And the main character look like a whimpy awkard kids, cannot stand it. Well, the most recent one I watch is Zero1...and not a big fan of it

Oh good to see the first Kamen Rider I ever watched finally up.
It’s a great entry point for kaiju fans. Especially if you end up loving the normal action scenes before the kaiju battle at the end.
Fog Mother is an underrated kaiju mech thing. Same with J being an underrated super hero.
One of the Kamen Riders that clearly preserve the essence and imprint of Kamen Rider Black. Not to mention that the actor suit is none other than the great Jiro Okamoto.

This is one of the best looking and best design rider, he looks solid, no plastic toy looking henshin devices, weapon and suit like the current rider.
That’s the late showa era riders for you. When they finally had the budget to make really good suits. (I love all of the previous riders but you can tell they weren’t given the money for better materials)
@@AlonzoTompkins well they definitely have the money to makes more suits, devices, and weapon. I don't think budget is the main reason, I mean look at garo series their armor are amazing it looks solid and authentic and that series also have many suits, garo is less popular compare to kamen rider and yet they manage to make great suit.

Oh yeah, now we have all the "hiatus trilogy" available on youtube officially and with subtitles, who could even dream with that one or two years ago, it's fantastic!! And, together with Ai ga Tomaranai from ZO, Kokoro Tsunagu Ai, the credits song in this movie, is one of the best songs from the whole Kamen Rider franchise.
I agree with Ai ga Tomaranai and Kokoro Tsunagu Ai, those songs moved a tear in me of how good they are. They have soul.

Koji Segawa, J's alter-ego, is played by Yuta Mochizuki who was Geki/Tyranno Ranger in Zyuranger aka Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Red.
he is still the only guy to play both a Red Ranger and an main lead Rider.

Man did this dig up some memories! I remember when this Shin and Zo aired on IFC (America) with terrible english dubs i still remember that they gave J Michelangelo's voice from the 80's tmnt, then gave him a completely different dub voice on the sega cd game, also Shin and Zo kept theyre kamen rider names but for some reason on IFC J was called "Grasshopper warrior Jay"

Very good movie. The practical effects are very nice. We even get some CGI. 90s era of Kamen Rider was the bridge between the old and the new. J is awesome and its a shame they never got the actor to reprise his role yet. He's the same actor who portrayed Tyrannoranger from Zyuranger.

Toei, seriously..sub and release the entirety of KR/sentai/metal heroes on dvd. The series, crossovers, movies, stage shows, one offs...there’s crazy demand for it in the west. Hell, I’d buy everything on this channel on dvd.
That was when the series was cancelled in 1989, they did 3 movies + an animated series.
