I overcompensate and will talk to anyone and everyone, which sometimes gets me into trouble. If I want to talk to a woman then I will do and then I’ll walk off, it confuses my friends and even the woman in question. Now I was the fat kid at school who knew the cool kids but I wasn’t respected by them or even the opposite sex. I’ve learnt that the people I grew up with could just put on a better false sense of security and hid there problems, better then I could. Nobody is born wise but you can become it. I am 35 and learnt a lot of things after turning 30, I make mistakes everyday but I try not to make the same one twice and I use the word try as some things are out of your own control.

@@VoidDweller86 I'd call that superficial confidence (though it's 100% valid). A person CAN have a certain confidence independently from their failures. What confidence means is to be honest with yourself and working to overcome your fears. To stand up and do what you feel is right to do even if you are afraid, and to not care about what others will think when you do.

It's funny he said stop trying to look flawless. I remember years ago walking through a mall with muddy boots, concrete dust all over my shirt, unkempt beard and hair and thinking to myself weeks later I truly do not give a fuck what people think 😅 I had spent years trying to maintain a certain level personal grooming etc but realized as I got older It's hard to try and look flawless all the time and also a huge waste of time. True confidence comes from embracing and being proud of what you're good at and accepting what you're not good at. Also stop giving a fuck about others opinions, you know you more than they know you and if you think you're the shit and they don't then clearly they're wrong 🤣🤣🤣

I hate suits. But there is specific ones that enjoy wearing I don't have any suits. But that does look cool sometimes concrete dust on your shoes paints on your pants and shirt. Working boots. They don't know what it's literally the feeling of working in construction. If you feel tired and it's not necessary to be dressed properly wherever else you're going other than work then I think it's comfortable. I can't look flawless with my hair standing up all the time so I shave my 4th dimension hair off and as of now I'm not bald because currently I supply my body to my scalp the nutrients it needs to literally keep my hair and not go bald lol. I sometimes hate the hair on my scalp. I hate cutting off my hair and I hate growing it but sometimes it looks good and I look good. But I'm unhealthy af right now so I had to cut it because it was literally dead human hair seaweed on my scalp which no longer had a good reason for being there and had to be cut down.

It’s the man thing. Never show weakness or perceived weakness.
That’s not healthy even though we don’t want to admit that. It’s a horrible way to live. Putting up a front is false and painful to keep up.
It’s very hard to break out of. It’s fear based. I’m not young, I’m aware I’m like this and I still struggle with it! You really have to be present in your mind, present in the moment and be aware of your behavior while you are doing it! You have to actually think about it as you respond to things. You have to train yourself to be aware of your actions in real time. It ain’t easy, but you have to focus. I’ve even thought of writing that word Focus on my hand to remind me!

It imprinted in our DNA to never show weakness and this is something that cannot be erased. People might say it's okay to cry or show weakness as a man today but people will unwillingly judge that man subconsciously, which is sad really but that's life. Unbeknown to us, so was Mr. Tom Hardy. There had to have been easily 1000 plus people there, both adults and kids and everybody kept asking him for photos (even though he was trying to warm up for his fight). He never said no to anyone and actually was so incredibly nice to them all. Outstanding, beautiful person.

Stop following other people. Everyone is different. Looking confident and being confident are two very different things. True confidence comes from being aware of who you are and accepting who you are regardless of wether other people accept it or not. You might have qualities deemed undesirable by society like for me I am soft and caring and kind and I’m a male. I have lots of feminine traits and accepting that allows me to show that to the world unapologetically and I stop performing for others and I find people that actually like me for who I am. If u don’t show people who u r they can’t see you for who u r. Stop trying to be charismatic and be yourself. Charisma Will show when u embrace who u r.

@@shakman4057 As I read it, Tom confronted Charlize after she talked shit about him quite literally behind his back. He heard her say something less than polite and simply strolled over and said "What did you just say?", and that's when Charlize shat herself, probably cried and overreacted, demanded security and played the frightened woman for the rest of the shoot like "ooh, Tom is an evil bad man.". Like fuck off Charlize, you fucked about, you pulled the lions tail and then shat yourself when it turned to you and beared its teeth in warning.
He didn't abuse her, he simply asked a question. If you talk shit behind a mans back and he hears you doing so, he's going to come over and ask the question. Tom wasn't behaving badly, he was simply standing up for himself against someone who had just slandered him within earshot. She's someone who could ruin his career if he allowed the slander, so it's fair play.
The being late isn't the best look, that whole shoot was pretty bad by most accounts though due to cars breaking down or barely being finished in time for the shoot. The rigging being a bit of a mess, constant issues delaying things, and the catering was apparently really bad. Not to mention it was filmed in a desert, so the weather isn't exactly suited to a British temperament, brits can get real tetchy in hot weather. Add to that someone cussing you within earshot, thinking that they're impervious to any consequences, and you have a recipe for one pissed off Englishman. Shit happens.

that we see the actors and celebrities as confident, brave, fearless, etc
yet they are just simple people like any average person, equally scared, anxious, fearful and insecure most of the time.
Here you’ve got a proof, that media creates a false vision of anyone, this regards the looks, the behaviours and so on.

HUGE caveat to this though. People will only respect or admire you for admitting your flaws, IF they respect you as a person first. Adam Grant cites these studies in one of his books. When people see a competent person fail and own up to the mistake, their respect for that person usually increases and they like the person more. If the same thing happens to someone they deem as incompetent, people tend to get annoyed like they’re dealing with a child who can’t do anything right.
