I think I pulled it off though. The truth is every single Toyota representative I met or saw this past week was nothing but friendly and professional and helpful. Total class act.
XSE all the way! The addition of Softec material, power driver seat, digital cluster gauge, and power lift gate plus I'm sure a few other features are worth it to me.

@ToyotaJeff Reviews: I did not see a heated steering wheel in either trim that you showed. It was not available in the United States fir the 2022 model but was in the LE trim in Canada. Will it be available for 2023 here in the States?

XSE is my pick but prefer the 17 inch rims on the SE with more tire.
You may be able to talk that out with a dealer, actually. My dad got the rims swapped on his Tundra before, but your mileage may vary.
Why smaller rims?
@@kleinbottledrinker Prefer 17 in. wheel style and higher tire sidewall usually rides smoother over bumps in the road.

Is there a height adjustment for the passenger seat in the hybrid? We test drove the gas model and the passenger seat was way too low!

No, it will not. This is a basic vehicle.
My regular 2018 Corolla has power folding mirrors.

I like the XSE. Looks like the drivers infotainment is fully digital. Also I've heard it will get the new Toyota software and safety sense 3.0.. Will that allow you to drives hands free in certain situations Jeff?

How does a vehicle that is smaller than the RAV4 hybrid get worse gas mileage?
Its an estimate, real world testing prior to the full sales will probably be a bit higher. It was the same when they revealed the hybrid Rav4 at first, as well as the Avalon. Also, if you don't drive it like a greased hog you should do better than advertised, as the averages are done by people who don't seem to fully take advantage of regenerative breaking and local terrain.
... because buyers will of course only want the "S" line! For Joe consumer it is frustrating that only the higher end models are reviewed. This isn't a complaint about you, but I imagine Toyota will only allow it.
It would sure be nice to see an LE Hybrid without having to put up a down payment and wait months...

Sorry I rather have SE model better I dont like the headlight on XSE model. Both of them about the same but seat on SE Fabric and XSE Leather that si only differences. Why pay more when SE modelnis enought for me? I will preorder my SE model this August 2022. Thank you Toyota.
Is the hybrid also made in the US?
Yes, it will be manufactured in the Huntsville co-op plant alongside Mazda IIRC. Toyota does not import its finished cars into the US, and has not for a long while. Components may be sourced elsewhere (such as window glass and airbags being from Japan direct) but the final assembly is done here. More American than most Fords and GMs ironically

If price right maybe is worth but 37 mpg over 32 is not big dill , so you need 8 years to pay different. Sorry but I’m ordered gas powered less problem for long run. Nice review 👍
37 is manufacturer estimates. It hasn't been EPA tested yet. The Rav 4 Hybrid had a manufacturer estimate of 35...it gets 40.
37mpg is downright horrible for such a small hybrid. The 2023 Kia Niro is rated for 53mpg. Granted, the Toyota comes with AWD, which hurts mpg, but not everyone wants or needs AWD.
No word on this for 2023 when 2023 is days away. I guess its going to be a 2024 model.

Literally the only selling point for this is that Mazda doesn't offer the CX-30 in a hybrid.
SE ftw- don't want top rail in chrome, softec or digital gauges and definitely not a slow as shoot me now power liftgate!

Because manufacturers are just throwing fake hybrid platforms in these vehicles which were not Hybrids before.
The MPG numbers for the Corolla Cross are manufacturer's estimates, not EPA. The EPA numbers should be higher.
@@beebs4881 you're right, and of course the end user will ALWAYS see different numbers than what is advertised. I managed to top the 2013 Prius' advertised MPG by nearly 10 because of my braking habits and pedal control.
Its likely the Cross Hybrid will be pushing 40 flat after review, and if I manage to snag one I won't be surprised if I can get another 3 or 4 on top of that.
TLDR, if you don't drive like a jackwad you should see better performance

37? My RAV4 is rated at 41...I actually get 45mpg.
I just want the base without moonroof. Hopefully the front bumper is the same for all trims. Power seats no big deal for me.
Moonroofs are a nice addition on any trim level.

The MPG, while better than the previous Cross. Is still under pretty much every other Toyota hybrid. Including the Corolla sedan! Seriously, Toyota F’ed up with that. While it’s cool it’s got more power. At what expense? Less MPG. The entire real you’re buying a… take a guess? A hybrid!
Also at 3:13. Was the cluster covered?? Why?
Last thing. Why does the SE and XSE have such a boring rear bumper? No sporty rear like the front? No muffler cutout like the sedan and hatch? Really ?
37mpg... the minivan has 38mpg... wth
This is going to put the C-HR in a bad spot, because why would someone buy something smaller with less space and less fuel economy than the Corolla Cross?
It's an ugly looking car to begin with. I can probably think of a single instance of actually seeing one on the road
The C-HR was a holdover from Scion, and I wouldn't be surprised if it disappeared entirely soon enough. They've been systematically getting rid of the old badge cars.

On a cdn gallon its 20 percent more, Imperial gallons are 4 .5 litres vs american at 3.8 litres.
I guess both have the cablegate issue that we have in Canada. Design flaws cause by our winter and a bad design overall from Toyota.

The two vehicles shown in the video are the hybrid. If you mean when they will be available to buy, the answer is before December, as the official releases say Fall 2022.
