Great review. I own one for going shopping and hunting - distances under 50km. Very fun little car. Having lived in the US, I see this as a very good second car, if you live out in the sticks and have a long distance capable vehicle as well.
Yeah it seems perfect for that! Also I live in Seattle and have two cars at the moment that I’m quite careful with and usually store in a garage. So one of these could be perfect for running around the city and keeping outside on the street as well as some off roading! Definitely going to look a little bit at the Samurai (the us version of this more or less)
@@benbomcars Absolutely. The issue with the Samurai and also the FJ Jimny for me is, that they are much less "car" than the current version. At least you get heated seats, Android Auto, really good headlights, etc. The Samurai is unfortunately an offroad and fun vehicle only.
That’s a good question! I think I’m looking at my cameras little screen there. Partly to see if the focus is working (my camera - Panasonic GH5 - doesn’t always have the most reliable autofocus) and since I dont always know where to look while shooting videos. I appreciate this comment and will take it as feedback! I am still working on being comfortable in front of the camera and like call outs like this.
It is quite light! One of the small things that I had to get used to was the lack of feel between the clutch and the engine. Since the engine is quite quiet and small and the clutch is so light, it took some time to get used to the feel of the car when starting. But overall really easy to drive!
That could be - I have seen that some have new infotainment displays with CarPlay and more. This one was bare-bones but certainly worked well for its intent!
If you want to go into the jungle, drive a Bronco, but if you also want to get out of the jungle, drive a Jimny :)
Nice video

If I can provide 1/10 of the education and entertainment of daddy Doug then I am a happy camper!
Why do you look to the left of the camera instead of at it? (beginning at 3:54 for example)

Mine in Costa Rica has power windows, alloys wheels and CarPlay. That’s a base model with steel wheels.
Wonderful car. I'm glad Suzuki keeps it out of the US, you guys are way to critical and spoiled.
