Happy Christmas Sharla! I hope you are finally relaxing and enjoying your down time, you deserve it after what you've done to pull yourself through this year. I guess my favorite vlogmas episodes were the resort towns in Hyogo - especially the onsen town - and the ones where you showed us around Morioka, as I had no idea what the city was like. I liked the tone of these posts, you showed us some of the quieter places and how they mix the traditional and the modern. It was a good reminder that Japan is a lot more and has a wider heritage then what you get from anime and manga. If you could do more of those videos showing those lesser known sides of the culture that would be great. Looking forward to your 2020 posts!

I can totally understand you wanting to spend time with family rather than film. Hope you have a great Christmas! I think your travel videos have been my favorite Vlogmas videos this year! Though to be fair I've seen all of them (except the Tokyo livestream from Day 16...gotta catch up on that one still).
Perfect type of video to end your year in TH-cam and seriously don't worry about not making the 25 videos, you made 22 but, some of them if not all are very good videos, not the kind of "lazy" videos that some people do for vlogmas. I always like the more cultural/travel videos so may favorites are the ones you did in Izushi and that area, the treehouse camping video and of course the apartment tour! For next year, just keep doing what you do, the more travel the better though. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for you and your loved ones, see you next year!

Ah I can't believe vlogmas is over! It went so fast this year!! Happy holidays Sharla!! I hope you have a great time with your family (and that it's not too cold there!) We finally got to see your side of the shrine video from Hiroshima from the Journey Across Japan series! As for my favorite Vlogmas episode, Kinosaki Onsen was one of my favorites, along with the camping in the treehouse! That was pretty cool! As for what I'd love to see for future content, I'm not picky but I do enjoy seeing different parts of Japan, and I know you have limited time to travel and stuff, and of course with winter being around it's a bit harder.
Traveling japan videos have been my fave ... absolutely stunning hopefully one day I will visit but in the meantime living vicariously through you ❤️❤️❤️much love❤️❤️❤️❤️

How could I pick a favorite video ahhhhhhhhhh! Hmmmm I enjoyed literally all of them, even the clothes unboxing one, gave me some good information about misleading sizes!. I really liked when you and Candi just wandered around. I think it would be a cool way to do a Q&A occasionally. I also like this video! I wish you had uploaded the whole Itsukushima shrine one. BUT honestly this is just as good. Happy Christmas! This was my first year following along with Vlogmas as it happened; it's so much work for you but they were all so interesting and varied! My favourite types of video are the 'slice of life' / 'everyday' ones that give us a flavour of day to day living in Japan (like the combini oden vlog or flat tour) - even though the more far flung visits are very interesting, I feel you have a unique advantage of showing the more domestic realities of living in a different country, little things like how different convenience stores look or what appliances you typically have in an apartment kitchen fascinate me lol😂
I loved your vlogmas series. Hope you have a lot of fun with your family. My favorite episodes were the hot springs town and your videos about Marioka, I've been trying to convince my husband to go up north next time we visit Japan :) Have a great New Year!

That was cool to watch. Saw some back drop to Chris Broad's Journey across Japan. Great shots of bridge and shrine. The sunset at the cove was stunning. So the head massage looked very relaxing. How did the pressure points work out?

How could I pick a favorite video ahhhhhhhhhh! Hmmmm I enjoyed literally all of them, even the clothes unboxing one, gave me some good information about misleading sizes!. Hmmm I really enjoyed the theater tour, all the places where the leaves were changing colors, and times when you have fun interactions with the locals ❤️
I really liked when you and Candi just wandered around. I think it would be a cool way to do a Q&A occasionally. I also like this video! I wish you had uploaded the whole Itsukushima shrine one. BUT honestly this is just as good. I am sure you end up with a lot of good footage that never gets uploaded and I like the idea of posting a video like this on new years, and maybe even bloopers that we could all have a giggle at.
I'm definitely going to get back on patreon this year (especially now that I finally cancelled that geeksquad membership I have been putting off lol)

I love hearing about the history of Japan and the different structures as well as outside adventures. I have loved learning about skincare through even your earliest of videos. I love just seeing your perspective on life and interests, which are very different from my own, but I like that. :) Merry Christmas and I hope that you enjoy it with your family. Happy Christmas! This was my first year following along with Vlogmas as it happened; it's so much work for you but they were all so interesting and varied!
My favourite types of video are the 'slice of life' / 'everyday' ones that give us a flavour of day to day living in Japan (like the combini oden vlog or flat tour) - even though the more far flung visits are very interesting, I feel you have a unique advantage of showing the more domestic realities of living in a different country, little things like how different convenience stores look or what appliances you typically have in an apartment kitchen fascinate me lol😂
I loved your vlogmas series. Hope you have a lot of fun with your family.
My favorite episodes were the hot springs town and your videos about Marioka, I've been trying to convince my husband to go up north next time we visit Japan :)
