Not that I've found. BUT since you already have dev mode activated and whatnot on your headset, I'd actually recommend using the Oculus Developer Hub. Hmm on the Oculus casting web browser I still see the microphone mute/unmute toggle, but you can also go to settings>System>Sound>Mute microphone in your Quest in case its not appearing for you for some reason.
does anyone know how to capture stereo pairs from VR games? It seems like some kind of technology to do so would be an excellent way to promote VR content - say to headset owners who do not have a powerful PC for PCVR, but are curious.. or just as a great way to preview VR titles on the Quest before making a purchase. I know the bandwidth is sufficient from YT now that it can provide 8k, so at 8k on about 90deg FOV, these stereo videos could look amazing.

Hi.... any foreseeable issues with using a DPVR4 to record No Mans Sky through Steam? I have the GeForce Experience set up, but I can't see how to remove the double eye while recording in VR..
I don't have that headset, but if you can get it to connect to SteamVR at minimum you should be able to take the SteamVR view and add that as a game capture source in OBS or SLOBS. Or even just take the game's .exe itself and use that as the game capture source.
Hi there, thank you for your video. I am trying to record HL Alyx gameplay, with VRCapture. But it keep saying "No VR Application". Even though I am playing Alyx, on Steam VR. Any advice please? (Im using Air Link).
@@AtomBombBody By "recording software" you mean things like VRCapture and Liv App? VRCapture keeps saying that doesnt detect any game open, and regarding Liv App, when I launch the "first person stabilizer" all I get is a giant black window. Thank you for your help by the way. I really appreciate it.
Do you mean taking the file off of your Quest? Is your PC detecting the Quest? If so the Quest should pop up automatically as a new folder otherwise it should be viewable from My Computer. Sometimes restarting the headset and then plugging in the headset again (making sure to click the accept prompt in headset after plugged in) helps.
It will look exactly like the example recordings in the video do, it will combine both eyes, but depending on which method you choose for some you can prioritize left or right eye so that sights are aligned properly.
Because of *how* LIV stabilizes the footage, the sides are always going to be there, you can choose between blurred or black but the black version is also transparent in case you want to put a layer behind it in OBS. You can negate the lines if you zoom in more though, I usually have my zoom at around 110% I think? As long as I don't whip my head around too quickly it seems to be okay.

@@Pokey_Turtle Oh yeah, you just need to experiment with a good mix of zoom and stabilization that works best for you. I'll usually zoom in enough where I can't see it as much, select my dominant eye, then move my head around and see if I can still see the lines. The OBS VR plugin doesn't have any stabilization to it but if you right click on that source and go to 'properties' there should be some presets you can use to re-size it. I believe Rift was one of those options unless it got removed.
I couldn't find a option for oculus in obs, either they removed it or a different version. 🤷 only index and video options. But yeah, more experiments!! Until everything catches on fire from over use. 😂 thanks for the help.
