I'm selling both, but used is a lot of work. I often find myself thinking I'd quit used, but then I find a deal I can't resist. It does hurt to throw away bins full of damaged, discolored Lego, and it's a fine line between acceptable and unacceptable pieces, especially if you threw out half of the purchase already. I always ask myself "would I find this an acceptable piece for my build?". I do consider buying bulk in the future, but for now I'm focussing on maintaining my new lots, and replenish them where needed.
I couldnt agree more. I am currently knee-deep in a bulk haul and i have also thrown away entire bins of damaged, fake and discolored lego... also difficult sometimes to keep up the pace in terms of working on it... i often put it off because of the amount of work it entails...
