This is exactly what i do. I will find what sets I have in bulk lots. build them up as far as I can, then start noting what parts I need and add them to a wish list. Works like a charm.

The wish list is a fantastic way to keep the parts you need to complete in mind. I love that feature of Bricklink. I actually need to compile a few for my figures I need to complete now.

I'm in the middle of sorting a huge personal collection from 2014 star wars era. This video comes at a good time, thx Dave!

What I like about this approach is that it continues to have money circulating through the Lego ecosystem.

I love being able to support other bricklinkers as I work to complete these sets :)

I just got into Lego investing/flipping with my son, and it's been super fun learning about everything with him. Just wanted to say that your videos are super helpful, and I appreciate you taking the time to make them. Going to add your store to my favorites as well

That is awesome! I love the time that my son and I get to spend together building this business. I love the thought that one day he may be able to run the entire bricklink side of our operation by himself as well (should he have the desire to). Good luck to you and your son and I look forward to hearing more about your journey as well.

I just came across this video. I do the exact same thing you do, getting 10 sets that are missing parts in one wanted list and hit auto select. Though I hadn't thought about using the remark feature to keep track of what goes where. I also had no idea what the 'Instant Checkout' button was for! I hate all the hidden fees, this will make things a lot easier. Very clear video, explained in great detail and guiding the person through everything step by step and showing exactly what to do. Bricklink should hire you to do their 'How To' videos, because I think their customer service is terrible!

I would love to partner with them to do a series of How To videos, I just don't seem them having that sorta flexibility since they are owned by LEGO.

Great video! I find bricklink filter actions a bit cryptic at times so it's nice to see somebody step through the process to better understand how to best find pieces. Thanks again!

Glad it was helpful! I'll try to share some more of the bricklink settings and features that I use in future videos.

Plan on doing this, I use brick economy for seeing the value of my used and complete sets, but sometimes the mini figs are worth more than the set, and other times the set looks normal with the price including the minifgs, so I don’t know if for those sets I should sell the mini figs separately or raise the price of the set for including the minifigs

came across an app called brick manager , its on android
Found this after buying some bulk lego , once you find some unique pieces through google lense and brick link and work out the set it belongs to
Using the app put in the set number and it gives you the full inventory of the set which you check off as you go through
It then shows you the percentage of the set you have , can sort by colours of pieces and once you are finished you can upload to bricklink the missing pieces , it shows pics of the pieces as well so useful for unique pieces and minfigs
Makes it so much easier than trying to work through an instruction sheet
As i go through the bulk lego and find these pieces i have a ziplock bag labeled with the name and number
So far im up to about 20 different sets from one bulk buy

Great info. I’m glad I found your channel. How much of your sales are sets/parts vs new/used vs eBay/brinklink? I have a lot of older sealed sets and have been trying to figure out the best place to sell them. So far I have only used Craigslist locally but it’s very limited but also cheap due to no fees or shipping.
    Thanks

Is there a way to print manuals off the internet somewhere? I've recently inherited a crapload of lego sets, all put together, no box, no manuals... so... I'm not sure where to start. Looks like $$ habit/hobby!

I believe you can print the PDF's from lego's website directly

Can you sell LEGO sets without the box at a good profit or is the box on used sets that important?
