  • Just a discussion, check the channel for more range use. Spent a good amount of time at the range comparing these two prior to the video. The MBA-3 has recently become cheaper and is a more direct comparison. I don't have one, so I'm comparing these two. They both serve a purpose but I do prefer one over the other.

You need to compare the MBA-3 to the FAB. You have an MBA-4 with Cheek Rest. The MBA-3 version has not only the cheek rise but also a 3-axis with length-of-pull adjustment that also allows the butt pad to adjust up and down as well as side to side. The butt pad on the MBA-3 is also wider and softer than the fixed butt pad on the MBA-4 with cheek rise. MBA stands for Modular Buttstock Assembly which allows you to configure the butt stock with the features you prefer. You also missed the bag hook and leveler features.

Thanks brother I learned something, as a AR-15 freak it's always good to learn stuff

Great comparison. Shameful that Magpul let upstart companies beat them to market with toolless adjustable, lightweight precision stocks. This is what the PRS Lite should have been.

I own four(4) Luth-AR stocks, three rifle length stock, and one for the carbine stock. My only complaint is the butt end; it is not wide enough. Magpul the cost too much for plastic, and too heavy. Now if I would have known about FAB Defense, I would have gone that way, maybe. I believe in KISS.
Upgrade from the LUTH-AR rifle-length stock to FAB Defense rifle-length stock (Gray). To be installed on Uintah Precision bolt-action AR308/6.5 Creedmoor cerakote Black/Gray with TRACT Toric (gray) 4-20x30mm. Thank you for the stock information.

Without even looking at the features between the two FAB Defense RAPS-C is already kicking Luth AR MBA-4 ass in the looks department. Doesn't matter whether it's the MBA-3 or MBA-4. The RAPS-C gets a check mark in the cool looks box.😏👌🏾👍🏾

The FAB stock just seems really chunky and kind of cheesy looking.

It works great, but aesthetics to each his own!

Move the stock back from the handle

Another possible point in favor of the Luth is that it's made in the US by an American company. Fab Designs is made in Israel by an Israeli company.

My only experience with Luth-AR buttstocks is their cheapest one (MBA-5?). It's JUNK. I prefer my UTG Pro and Trinity Force to the Luth.
