I live in Thackerville Oklahoma only 10 Miles from Marietta and my front door ripped off due to the high winds. I drove to Marietta and it’s bad. Mercy Hospital got hit and the dollar general and the grocery store is completely gone. There was a semi truck that got thrown off the road and was laying by the underpass to the bridge. Rumor has it that the truck driver died. It was so sad to witness this first hand.
So sad.. Thank God for all of the police , emergency workers, powering workers and community members who come together to SERVE each other during this horrific time.

We usually get a heads up with the tornadoes as well. The problem is that sometimes, like last night, it’ll look like they’re done and then one will just pop up! There was one right by my last night that formed so fast…like 10 minutes after the meteorologist said it looked like we were in the clear. Scary stuff…
i been in theses tornados alot now as they been hitting missouri kansas and other states at least 20 or 18 tornados been on the ground in the past days as i could prob count on my radar on where they were hope everyone doing okay out there.
On the bright side, your demolished houses if insured are probably double or more what you originally signed up to pay, bad news is so is everything else.
What’s scary is they get way stronger than that. I haven’t heard if they’ve determined how strong it was, but I’d guess it was probably an EF3. The EF5 tornadoes completely destroy everything in its path…
Of course they have warnings & watches still comp put their 18X2 wheelers out on these highways knowing the danger, of course the bosses & Accountant aren’t driving the trucks are they! Just like the Gen don’t go fight on the front lines!

Cookie factory closed several years ago. I do miss the smell of vanilla in the mornings. It was so nice to live close enough to enjoy that every day.
