The prototype-based crocodile engine is so a great extra surprise! :) Well, at the end of the 80s, lego decived not putting that effort anymore in the train system - even thaught the first 90s 9v trains are on of the best in my opinion (4563, 4558 - or even a bit later 4564)
I think the Instructions back then were harder to follow. But if they did use the same simpler instructions we had today then yes, I would agree with you.
I wonder, how you managed to work with all the wires: First of all getting all of them and then in addition arrange all in that way, that we almost see them not in the final videos. So fantastic video! :)
