On a side note, global entry is the only way for non US citizens to get the benefits of TSA Precheck. I used the Global Entry lane when I came to the US back in June and I was through immigration in less than 2 minutes!
I was just approved for global entry. So I should receive my card soon. I read that I have to activate my card once it arrives. Out of curiosity I went to the global entry page (CBP/DHS) and do not see the activation. Is it added once it’s mailed ? Thanks for your help. Great video
Hi! Ok are you viewing the portal with this web address?-- ttp.cbp.dhs.gov/dashboard -- if so under the program information it should have a section for activating your card... I don't remember if I had to wait until it had shipped but I remember logging in and seeing it pretty much right away after I was approved. I'm glad you found the video helpful!
I Submitted my Application August 17, 2022 and Received an Email Yesterday 2 Hours Before I was heading to the Airport In D.R. Had The Interview at JFK Airport and It Took About 3 Minutes
Hi! I did not have TSA pre-check prior to getting Global Entry. I was able to get TSA pre-check though through Global Entry. You'll also get access to the Sentri lanes (express lanes) in car if you are driving back from Canada or Mexico.
I'm going to say yes since the program includes sentri lanes. You do need to carry your card when going through land, and Rene is correct and you need to register your car online.
great video! thank you for the detailed information. So my question is would it be it make more sense to bypass completing the application online and just wait until I take a trip out of the US and upon returning just apply in the airport?
Thank you! glad it was helpful 🙂 No because in order to complete the interview @ the airport you must be conditionally approved upon returning to the US or else they can't do the interview. You have to complete an online application first.
The U.S. CBP website conditionally approved my app & it states online that a remote interview can be scheduled, however; when I go to schedule my interview appointment there are no options for selecting a remote or Zoom interview. Is it mandatory that all applicants must travel in person to the State in which there are enrollment centers?
Hi Nena - the remote interview option must have became available after I did my application since it wasn't an option for me. From my experience, the interview had to be done in person whether it was traveling to the nearest airport that conducts them or doing the interview upon entering the United States at Customs.
I applied in April 2022 received mine in February 2023, I was sent my GE card in the mail. I let my GE lapse and renewed card. No interview to renew card.

Good to know thank you for sharing! They're SO quick at immigration with Global Entry. Crazy how they can just scan your face and your good to pass!
Damn this would be perfect for my mother!! She drives to Mexico like 5-6 times a year.
Oh she needs this then! It’ll be so convenient for her.
Woo hoo I just got approved. I did the interview, good to go. Submitted my application like 10 months ago lol.
Yay congrats!
Wow! That's super long. I am in MN, and it took exactly 1 week from applying and approved (interview).

Yes the interview is so quick! Hopefully you hear back soon with approval 😊
For me took me over one year from my application to my interview ☹️
Did you already have TSA PreCheck? If not, were you approved to use it once you had applied an interview for later Global Entry?

Haha my picture looks horrible. I was so jet lagged coming back from Colombia
Girllllll lol they got us all messed up capturing pictures while traveling internationally 😭 how was Columbia? I’d love to go some day
Thanks for this
My pleasure!
Believe me, you’ll need to have the card when using pre-clearance to enter the USA by air in Canada, Aruba etcc
Good to know! thx for sharing
Great Info 👍
Can i use global entry as sentir if I’m crossing walking?
Great video
correct me if im wrong, you can use global entry at sentri lanes, both vehicle and pedestrian, when returning to the US as well right?
They will offer u sertri there at the interview u just have to provide your vehicle info and that’s the only vehicle u can use.

Super informative, thanks Adi 😊 #GlobalEntry needs to sponsor this video 🫣
Thank you Lizzy! You've been so supportive since day 1 🥹 love youuuu!
I submitted mine Sept 29, and I have not gotten any email for my conditional approval :(
What, really! Does your portal say still pending? I would give them a call and ask what’s going on that seems like loooong waiting time!
@@adiventures_ yes :( i think I will do that thank you for your video!
