Hand forming aluminum over bucks is MUCH more labor intensive than molding GRP. This car would easily have to cost ten times what this one does. The Runge YT channel is a good place to go to see what is involved in hand forming aluminum.
At first glance, this may seem like an authentic period car, but the proportions and low stance scream modern. This style of wheels with wide tires and spoked hubs with central nuts is also a bit anachronistic as they became fashionable around 1960.

Very nice, but not perfect by any means. And 200 KPH today is laughably slow. The radiator could be improved, same with the bumpers. Not bad for an Aussie effort, though.
I agree. Great construction but the design is overblown. It is a wonderful construction but he has lost the “Class” of the similar cars in the era. Less is More.

Look up Petersen Dartmoor for a metal bodied similar car, a onE off as far as I know.
