One of the best things I did for my computer-desk posture was to get a split keyboard (not just an ergonomic keyboard, this is literally a keyboard split in half) and separate them on my desk by shoulder width. Immediately allowed me to comfortably keep my shoulders back and got rid of a bunch of upper back pain. Once my shoulders are back, I find it easier to keep my head back as well to avoid forward head posture.
Thanks to you and Stuart McGill I am pain free with respect to my sciatica condition. You guys are great. To any viewers with sciatica check out Bob and Brad's rehab videos dealing with this condition.....it worked for me.
I love you guys, I was an Aussie Physiotherapist for about 30 years, and miss the job. You know the thing with lead guitar players though, "I do it better"....well, what about lower trapezius needing 135 degrees of scaption to really work - I don't think you get your elbows high enough ..(I know, picky, picky picky).... My take home message to patients was "sit tall, stand tall", and if they could remember I added "look the world right in the eye". I'm reposting your EXCELLANT advice on a google community called 'old crocs".
I like these guys! Been a follower for awhile and finally purchased 2 products from the amazon basics from link below. Always a pleasure to watch you guys and like your quirky sense of humor. Thank you.
I have an unusual question guys, when Nature calls my middle and lower back starts to hurt until after the bowel movement then its ok again. A strange pulling down sensation that can also be felt in the hips and thighs. Is this a muscular issue? Sciatic issue? Disc issue? I can't seem to find any info on this thanks!
Can you pls do a video on bertolotti syndrome? Maybe some stretches or exercises that would help strengthen the pelvis and the glutes and the SI joint area to help with it?
you guys indeed are best physiotherapist on the internet, kudos for such helpful videos you put up there. i have a question,i got my shoulder dislocated in sleep and later on diagnosis it turned out to be anterior dislocation with humerus head fracture. now my dilemma is weather to go with surgery or not as i am already 30 and i read that once dislocated there are possibilities of multiple episodes as i am hoping to limit my lifestyle to less agile type, could you please provide some advice, thanks anyways
Thanks for these suggestions. I will do them faithfully....don't want to get hunched onver like my mother. She had the dreaded dowager's hump. Love you guys!
many people speed over this "proper way" to do it (in a lot of differnt things), when telling/showing you how to do something. They know how to do it, and probably known it for years, so their subcouncious just blocks that step out thinking that everyone knows. Thank you for what you are doing!!!!!!
Mr. Bob, Mr. Brad! Thank you for your awesome video collection, you are super amazing! In my opinion, of course! :D I have a question: what is your opinion on using 'kneeling chairs' instead of regular office chairs? I didn't hear you mention these in your videos and I'd really like to know if you consider this a healthy investment or not. Many, many thanks for making this world a healthier place!
Is the ministepper(the one with 2 pedals, and you have to go like up and down, almost like climbing stairs) good to exercise on for herniated disc? (L4-L5)
A question from watching all your sleeping videos. I finally have found (knock on wood) a pillow for side sleeping. But it's terrible for back sleeping because it's too high. I find myself at night turning onto my back and then of course I know why I have pain in my neck. What can I do because I have to actually wake up and switch pillows and my whole set up so that I can change onto my my back and that interrupts my sleep. any suggestions?? Also, what can you do when you sleep on your back and keep your head from turning to one side.?? I Know this doesn't belong on this video, but I posted on an old "sleep" video and i don' t think you saw it>
You guys are hilarious! Do you have a video about meralgia paresthetica? I get some numbness/tingling at front of one of my thighs sometimes when I do lunges or split squats, and it tends to linger for a few days.
scemat make sure you avoid wearing a tight belt or tight waisted pants, you want something loose fitting. Also focus on gentle hip strengthening and stretching your hip flexors such as letting your leg hang off the side of the bed while laying on your back. Generally losing weight around the stomach helps as well as this is often caused by excessive weight around the waist contributing to the inguinal ligament compressing a nerve. Just some tips I give my patients. Hope this helps 😊
My neck looks forty years old, possibly because it is. Actually, it's way forward so it probably looks twice as old. Need to watch the chin tuck video.

Never heard of THAT before but it sounds awesome! I need to fix my posture, I’ll consider getting one.

Gentlemen, is it possible for a Thoracic disc Herniation to give 'sciatica' type of symptoms?
Your videos have been very helpful. Thanks in advance!
Bless
Would you sway people away from doing things like the bench press that have bad posture?
Do you guys have any videos on torn UCL of the thumb? Thanks
That's a good one. Can you do that with herniated thoracic ?
