- Food photography can be difficult when a subject like ice cream melts quickly. Two simple food photography tips for pre-production and editing will make shooting real ice cream easy. During today's shoot, I also dive into a bit about color theory and composition that helps my subjects pop off the screen. Enjoy! #foodphotography #photography #photographer #foodphoto #studiolighting #photographytips #learnphotography #productphotography

I meant the table when you are talking about the set up 3:11
Really appreciate all the content you have put out throughout the years, aiming to seriously revitalize my career as as food photographer, it's so much fun to do.
Thanks! I hope you do
Hello Skyler! Big fan for your work and this channel for almost 5 years now. Great content always!
May i know which tablet you are using in the video? Do you suggest tablets for food/product photography to use as monitor and light edits? Is iPadPro good choice?
I use the Samsung S tab 8 as I'm a PC guy, but I assume the ipad would work. I mirror my screen and use capture one.
love your videos ... what tripod head and parts do you use that allows you to slide your body out into the middle on an arm extended out from a C stand
I Have a whole parts list in the description on the store
Not sure if it was intentional but there are little tips and explanations that mean so much and aren't mentioned in set-up videos. Makes this video gold for me! Thank you
Awesome! I'm glad you liked the setup, I'm toying around with the idea of creating an audio only
@SkylarBurt +SkylarBurt how did you set up the white back drop?
You are amazing man! Where can I buy a table like that? I would love to have one 🙏
What a great video! I have a cooking video coming out for Valentine's Day which is a romantic dinner for two. Shrimp in puff pastry with a white wine butter sauce. Try scrambling around getting close-up shots of a butter sauce being poured over a dish before the butter goes hard again! 😂😂😂
I am glad to see more of your videos coming out. Always enjoy them.
Thanks, how ya been?
@@skylerburtphotos it’s been a rough few years but I think things are slowly getting better this year.
Can you please link the mount that you used to attach the camera to the rod
It is called a grip head. All things can be found on my store in the description
@@skylerburtphotos Thank you
Love the masking tool tip, saves food waste...sometimes it glitches though and leaves a black brush stroke instead, history tool is good alternative.
It's a good food waste saver! And time saver
....absolutely 100% xxx love the videos. Great inspiration....
Very elegant setup, really like how all is neatly put together!
Thanks!
And we learned some lingo on top!
Thank you
You bet!
Well, yes, of course you can do that, but the shadows are not right on the 2nd bowl--in my eyes, the viewer gets a slightly weird feeling, subconsciously.
?? I'm not sure what you're pointing to. The light didn't move.
@@skylerburtphotos haha, sorry, silly me! I thought you were just cutting-out the bowl and inserting it, rotated ! :-))) Good Trick!
Which do you prefer Capture One or Adobe Lightroom?
I prefer Capture One for all things tethered and editing. On top of that it has great file organization.
Nice tips, great to see the process!
Thanks! 👍
Yes, baby. Greetings from germany. P.S.: Thanks for the color of the year tip. How do you like it personally?
Ah it's ok, not my favorite, but I understand why they went with it.
@@skylerburtphotos My association with the color magenta is and will always be Deutsche Telekom ... but I kinda dig it.
Yeah, totally didn't think of that but your right.
Thanks this is great
Missing your videos man. You must be busy with work. All the best with it. Don't forget about us though ☺️
Thanks man! I am super busy, but I'm trying to post at least once a week now.
@@skylerburtphotos sorry, I don't mean to pressure you. I know how it is these days and after two crazy years of quarantine 💀
I wait till the ice cream melt and gets soft…. MMmmmm
Sinner! haha
It's Thursday babyyyyyy
Yes it is!!!
Bro. Photography is a lie 😀
