Skyler my man, your content is always enjoyable! I am a veteran established photographer, there's not much new to me regarding any tips or tricks, but the way that you present it and the positive energy you have it's making me come to the channel for every video. I just watch it because I enjoy how you present it - and every video has valuable lessons in it. Well done, my friend!
Do you happen to have any videos where you show how the double-sided overhead photography parts go together? I'm confused about how some of it works. I currently have a one-side rig and I can't stand the wobbling.
Love your tips. I am a long-time portrait photographer just getting interested in doing commercial products like this now for fun. You're a great inspiration as well as a great teacher.
thanks for sharing! I got into dessert styling and photography and currently putting together a portfolio. I need to update my lighting tool kit to include light modifiers. will certainly get the diffusion panel and some stands
I enjoy your videos. You have grown and it is obvious. I have a little restaurant and this stuff ain't easy. Quality images equals incoming revenue. I tied my images to revenue metrics in powerBI. Catch the drip!
Please I hope you can answer me.. I have two lenses from this category Sigma 50 _1.4 Sigma 18_35 Which is better for photographing dates and some foodstuffs? Do you recommend another lens?
@skylerburtphotos - really REALLY useful, and helpful stuff, thankyou! Can you recommend any good food photography that arent just overpriced glossy coffee table books, that I might consider a bit of food pic bible (have wasted a LOT of money on books in this way in the past!)?
Hi, very helpful videos! I'm thinking of starting a small food photography business. Deciding which light to get...I want to be mobile and on the go...would you know if the Zhiyun M20/C can work as my main light for Food Photography? Thanks.
@@jordancruz9843 If your looking for a constant light, I personally would go for a Amaran 150c, it's a little more money, but it's well built and has a Bowens mount for modifiers. It's not as portable but comes in a nice case.
Is your Food Photography Masterclass from a few years ago still available, or would the content of that be redundant due to the wealth of knowledge you've posted in these videos? Thanks for sharing your experience and skillful tips.

Is it no longer possible to buy your courses? An error message always appears when clicking on the link.
Its not, but I am working on something new that should be pretty awesome

Hi whats the width of diffusion paper you recommed
What a sweet tips videos!
I am learning so much from you thank you:)
I think I have most of these tool, but the dental stitchers is something I've never seen, might pick a couple up and play with them.
they are really helpful at holding stuff you plan to composite out later
So inspiring!!
can you make a video about installling the overhead camera
I have a couple of videos on it, but this is the latest th-cam.com/video/k0JY4EhRkP4/w-d-xo.html
do you have a link to that overhead stand?
Yeah all the gear is in the description.
At 6:52 you missed retouching/aligning the lower left corner of the glass, just fyi :)
Thanks for looking out
i can hear you talking all day long, please man keep posting daily if you can 😂😂❤❤👍👍

Please I hope you can answer me..
I have two lenses from this category
Sigma 50 _1.4
Sigma 18_35
Which is better for photographing dates and some foodstuffs? Do you recommend another lens?
Great Video!!
Hiya! Great video - what diffusion paper do you use?
Hi I placed it in the description

The M20c is as mobile as it gets. I'm not sure I would use it as a main light, but anything is possible if you work with it
@@skylerburtphotos thanks a lot! just a follow-up question, what can you recommend as a starter light? Can flash with diffuser be enough?
@@jordancruz9843 If your looking for a constant light, I personally would go for a Amaran 150c, it's a little more money, but it's well built and has a Bowens mount for modifiers. It's not as portable but comes in a nice case.
Flash with a Bowens Mount, Dish Reflector and Grid Combo with a diffuser is one of the best beginner setups!
There is also the Godox AD100pro which would work similar to a flash
You do great videos. Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
is there a way to connect an iphone directly to a laptop to edit composition in real time?
Your softbox link is broken. No continuous light?
Please create a video with a deep dive into all the tools in that toolbox.
I pretty much did, with the exception of fake ice, and possible add some type of funnels to pour liquids
@@skylerburtphotos even that mat spray? That's the thing I really wanted to know about
@@anarabicdp the matte spray helps with shiny props as well as the outside of glasses when you're photographing drinks. I should do a video on it.
@@skylerburtphotosand add glycerine to this video, it would be very interesting!
Great advice.....
Hi, sigma 16mm f1.4 vs Tamron 17-70mm f2.8.
which one do you recommend for cooking video content
I haven't used either, but my opinion about lenses is that prime lenses are going to be generally better than zooms
may i know the software name?

Its not, but I'm in the works on putting something new together it should be pretty great
Thank you for Ukrainian flag on 2:54 by the way 😊 It was conceived or not, but thanks from Ukraine😊😊
Ha didn't think about that, but there you go
