Lol. Power supply, resistors, lathe, a couple chicken bones and some magic. Brother you are high level. I love it. Gonna spend my Saturday watching your content. Got 20 episodes to go.

I'm assuming you'd want a higher pulse count so the computer can react to the environment faster/sooner?
If so, that is strange that the magnaride versions would have less pulses than the regular models!

Love what your doing, Bud. I own a 2016 Gen2 GT RHD UK Track Pack model. Have any companies approached you with the idea of selling a kit? Or maybe one already exists? 👍

Transfer case is not really will strong for manual tranny. Best TC which you can put here is Attesa from gtr32/33. It’s smart system and super reliable.

Do you have any data to back this up about the Borg-Warner transfer case? Examples of one failing? I have not found any.

Nice work. I hope you find a hub with the proper amount of pulses. Could you reach out to Timken or SKF for them to build you one or two to your specs? Or do they have a master chart that has that info?

I think I am just going to stick with what I have and go for it. If the car freaks out, I will put a separate tone ring on the CV joint.

To avoid the issue of internal "ABS tooth ring pulse numbers", make an external ABS ring with
the required number of teeth and fasten it to the outer drive shaft CV joint.
Alternatively, in Europe there are lots of cars with this solution and the ABS ring is sold as
    replacements parts.
From what I understand you need an ABS ring with 50 teeth ?

Yes, I am just going to go for it and see if it works. If it doesn't, I will put a tone ring on the CV joint.

Amazing work! I’ve run through all of your videos and not sure if I missed it, how are you setting up a reverse lockout? I have a camaro/ corvette/ Escalade tcase setup and am hitting this hurdle before I go any further

    • @npvg
      @npvg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I plan to add the reverse lockout to the shifter itself. I am going to reach out to MGW and see if they will sell me just the handle from the MT82 version and adapt that to my MGW Camaro shifter. I will just have to put the "gate" on the opposite side. Thus, you will have to push down to put the transmission into reverse.

I am using a silver sport shifter directly mounted to the front plate and have gutted the skip shift solenoid, extended the stock reverse lockout rod and set screwed it to the body of the skip shift. I’d like a better more robust solution, but it seems to work on the bench

Wheel speed sensor - are you trying to maintain stability control, or just ABS?

I don't want the car to think anything has changed.

I thought about several years of Mustang before deciding on the S550. I have a soft spot for Fox bodies, but the IRS in the S550 put me over the edge.

I have a some friends that's fitting a complete Ford Sierra Cosworth 4x4 front suspension
      on a Volvo 242.....
They will also use the Ford Sierra Cosworth 4x4 16v 2.0 turbo engine and 5 speed manual
      4x4 transmission.
The front cross member bolts directly to the Volvo front chassis rails and is correctly
positioned with regards to height in the car and width between the chassis rails.
There are only 3 things needed to be modified to bolt this up:
      - Need to make new holes for the two front holes to hold the cross member to the front rails,
the two rear fits with positioning the Ford Sierra Cosworth 4x4 cross member !
      - The top of the Ford Sierra Coswoth 4x4 struts must be replaced with Volvo 242 strut tops.
      - The steering shaft from the bulkhead to the steering rack must be made by mating an Volvo
top piece and a Sierra Cosworth 4x4 lower part.
