You could always cheer up a Tenshi fan with the last few chapters of Wild and Horned Hermit, where it's heavily implied Reimu would not have defeated her adversary without Tenshi and Komachi's assist. Also, depending on how you interpret one scene, Tenshi is either acknowledged as exceptional even by celestial standards or Komachi managed to make her use more of her power through negative reinforcement.

She is self centered, narcissistic chaotic good character, who is more gifted than others because of stupid luck and not her hard work. It was brilliantly showed in antinomy of common flowers where she does only basic swings, throws and kicks. The rest goes from her celestial status and family inheritance. She is op and she takes every advantage of it. She can't even fly which is humiliating for a toho girl, she uses keystone for it.

I am a Komeji fan. I got into Touhou in 2021 because of bad apple. I am a fan of the Komeji sisters especially Koishi because of the psichological part. Koishi’s backstory is is quite tragic. It is also very interesting that the Komeji sisters could be a metaphor for one being, Satori representing the concious mind, by her opened 3rd eye and Koishi being the unconcious mind. Even their personalities match the concious and unconcious. Satori being serious and calculated because when one is awake the concious mind calculates every decision. The concious mind is used when awake, hence Satori’s opened 3rd eye. The same can be said to Koishi Who represents the unconcious mind. She is playful and free-spirited and does every action acording to her unconciousness. The unconcious mind is used while sleeping or daydreaming and is matching Koishi’s personality and can be represented by her closed eye. Also Koishi is forgotten by the others the same we usually forget about our dreams. It is quite interesting that their design are similar but inverted. That could represent that the concious and unfoncious are separate but they form a singular being
As a Hina fan, i would say that i do have been mildly amused by her spinning, but I love her because she attempts to take all my misfortune away and only asks to love her for that in response, you know the Miracle Hiracle song. Yeah, that's about it, glad to be represented. 🗿
As a Parsee fan myself, I’ve never played a Zelda game lol, I’ve kinda never made that connection due to how different their personalities are. I'm... kinda disappointed that I don't fall into the Stereotypes of older Koishi fans. I first got into Touhou at the tail-end of the 2010s and the beginning of the 2020s, and she became my favorite character after around 1 year in the fandom, and it's not because of the sadistic depictions of her in KKHTA. In actuality, I just found the whole psychological aspect of her character to be really interesting, and it certainly helps that her palette consists of my two favorite colors. The only thing I can attest to being true is being unable to beat Koishi, but that's simply because I suck ass at Extra Stages in general, and I haven't even tried Subterranian Animism, so even then it's a bit of a stretch. I was ready to see myself in your description and explain why I'm like that, but I got nothing to say because the stereotype simply doesn't apply to me.
As a Parsee Mizuhashi fan, I love her because her backstory is so sad. Forced to see everyone happily cross the bridge which she thought she wanted to protect as her duty now feels she is forced to do so. I just want to give her a hug. I also kinda find her relatable in a way.
You forgot the "detective satori" type of fan. They either read foul detective satori, wheelchair detective satori or even both. There is 90% that they have played ace attorney or read sherlock holmes before. The wheelchair detective satori fans are obsessed with the sick openings.
TBH, that wasn’t quite what I was expecting for Sanae fans. Personally, I became a fan of hers because we have quite a bit in common. We’re both geeks that like mecha, we’re both math and science people, we both don’t drink much (she probably has a low alcohol tolerance, while I just don’t like alcohol), and we’re both liable to get overexcited about our passions to the point that others might find us annoying. She’s also attractive in the girl-next-door kind of way. (Yes, I am a loser that has a crush on a 2hu, but she’d be high tier girlfriend material for me and I’m lonely. 😢)

She happened to win the Popularity Poll once - which I believe was cheated - and even then the Poll is only so good to measure how popular characters really are given how relatively few people relative to the fanbase's size actually vote on it. Koishi is very popular but I think she's only so iconic compared to so many other characters that even outsiders to the series oftenrecognise.

Eh. I'm a strange one. Clear secondary that got into Touhou via 13.5 (in early 2017 lol) solely because of Koishi (later got to like Satori more). Then somehow grew fond of Miko (still struggling when it comes to a choice between them). And now I'm a freaking tankie in Siberian nowhere who simply adores Autumn, Aki sisters and especially Shizuha. You know, constant melancholy, life and death cycle... etc. Oh, and the awaited harvest of course!

So far I am: 1. Okuu fan. Her theme slaps, yes I do like touhou rock remixes, and I'm also a huge science nerd so I love nuclear fusion. (also the SYMBOLISM!!!) 2. Mokou fan. Also love her symbolism, and I think the theme of eternity is very poetic. Also she's just all around chill. Kaguya x Mokou is a horrible ship, I see them more like frenemies, and they seems to stand in eternal opposition, like night and day. 3.Sakuya fan. This is a long one. First, I like her because Night of Nights got me into touhou in the first place. Second, thanks to a bit of time spent in the Undertale fandom, I like knives (The ability in Undertale to destroy the entire universe with a single slash of a knife forever cemented the knife as a symbol of power in my mind. Yes, I like undertale. Yes, I like AU's. No, I don't like sans, sans is cringe and overused and isn't really that powerful.) Finally, the time stop. I've always been obsessed with time, for various reasons. I always felt I was running out of it, every moment of every day of every week of every... you get it. The ability to have infinite time was something I needed. I also loved it because physics (physics nerd lol) and how it feels unstoppable. Time allows for so many things, it's said to be the most precious thing someone can have. Given enough time, even the scantist possibility becomes a certainty. No, I haven't watched jojo and never will, I've barely heard of Dio and don't care for him either way. If you freeze time on an opponent, there is literally nothing they can do. Finally, 4. Koishi fan. I like them because they represent freedom, absolute freedom of mind, responsibilities, just do whatever you want. They are extremely carefree, and I envy them for it. as a satori fan, i'm quite young and i didn't really have a good experience with people irl yet, got unlucky at school (smokers, bullies, all-time class skippers, the evil sort basically), so now i don't really like being around people, maybe even hate it, but hate is too strong of a word (of course i understand that it's only a matter of time before i meet someone decent) satori clicked with me in that regard, seeing how she is an outcast basically, no one likes her and she doesn't like anyone (with exceptions of course) she's fine with being alone, and i also am - my mother hopes that i somehow find a friend, but i highly doubt it at this point putting that aside, the bigger reason is her stage - the theme of her stage, heartfelt fancy, sounds very nice and is probably my favorite stage 4 theme and when you get to her? peak theme, love at first fight, bowap is such a cool spellcard to dodge, and with that music too? i bought her fumo and i don't regret it, i love satori

Funny you say that about Momiji, because i dont like Inuyasha as a character, i think he has cool moves and his design its kinda neat, but he is a horrible character overall. And yeah kinda like some anthro here and there, but just the regular kind, nothing "too extreme" to say the least, but i cant say Momiji was the first character that introduced me to Touhou she did made me like it even more though and made me play more Touhou games that arent just the mainline series just to see her and others. The privilege goes to Kurumi, yeah that vampire blonde gal that "might or might not look like Rumia's mother" or "she might be related to the scarlet sisters just because in her song the word scarlet is in it" not just because her but because LLS is one of my all time favorite Touhou games even if its no longer canon.

Eh. I'm a strange one. Clear secondary that got into Touhou via 13.5 (in early 2017 lol) solely because of Koishi (later got to like Satori more). Then somehow grew fond of Miko (still struggling when it comes to a choice between them).
And now I'm a freaking tankie in Siberian nowhere who simply adores Autumn, Aki sisters and especially Shizuha. You know, constant melancholy, life and death cycle... etc. Oh, and the awaited harvest of course!

As someone who hasn't really gotten arround to playing any touhou game besides lost word and whos main interactions with the series is music. Its rather interesting to see what some sterotype the fans of the characters who's songs i like.

As a fan of the Aki sisters, I confirm that I like them both, although it is mostly because of the design they have and that hat of Minoriko (Apart from the fact that I had to draw Shizuha in a class)
And as the self-proclaimed number 1 Parsee fan in LATAM,I legitimately like her for Lore's reasons,having green eyes and her theme
So far I am:
1. Okuu fan. Her theme slaps, yes I do like touhou rock remixes, and I'm also a huge science nerd so I love nuclear fusion. (also the SYMBOLISM!!!)
2. Mokou fan. Also love her symbolism, and I think the theme of eternity is very poetic. Also she's just all around chill. Kaguya x Mokou is a horrible ship, I see them more like frenemies, and they seems to stand in eternal opposition, like night and day.
3.Sakuya fan. This is a long one. First, I like her because Night of Nights got me into touhou in the first place. Second, thanks to a bit of time spent in the Undertale fandom, I like knives (The ability in Undertale to destroy the entire universe with a single slash of a knife forever cemented the knife as a symbol of power in my mind. Yes, I like undertale. Yes, I like AU's. No, I don't like sans, sans is cringe and overused and isn't really that powerful.) Finally, the time stop. I've always been obsessed with time, for various reasons. I always felt I was running out of it, every moment of every day of every week of every... you get it. The ability to have infinite time was something I needed. I also loved it because physics (physics nerd lol) and how it feels unstoppable. Time allows for so many things, it's said to be the most precious thing someone can have. Given enough time, even the scantist possibility becomes a certainty. No, I haven't watched jojo and never will, I've barely heard of Dio and don't care for him either way. If you freeze time on an opponent, there is literally nothing they can do.
Finally, 4. Koishi fan. I like them because they represent freedom, absolute freedom of mind, responsibilities, just do whatever you want. They are extremely carefree, and I envy them for it.

as a satori fan, i'm quite young and i didn't really have a good experience with people irl yet, got unlucky at school (smokers, bullies, all-time class skippers, the evil sort basically), so now i don't really like being around people, maybe even hate it, but hate is too strong of a word (of course i understand that it's only a matter of time before i meet someone decent)
satori clicked with me in that regard, seeing how she is an outcast basically, no one likes her and she doesn't like anyone (with exceptions of course)
she's fine with being alone, and i also am - my mother hopes that i somehow find a friend, but i highly doubt it at this point
putting that aside, the bigger reason is her stage - the theme of her stage, heartfelt fancy, sounds very nice and is probably my favorite stage 4 theme
and when you get to her? peak theme, love at first fight, bowap is such a cool spellcard to dodge, and with that music too? i bought her fumo and i don't regret it, i love satori

Funny you say that about Momiji, because i dont like Inuyasha as a character, i think he has cool moves and his design its kinda neat, but he is a horrible character overall.
And yeah kinda like some anthro here and there, but just the regular kind, nothing "too extreme" to say the least, but i cant say Momiji was the first character that introduced me to Touhou she did made me like it even more though and made me play more Touhou games that arent just the mainline series just to see her and others.
The privilege goes to Kurumi, yeah that vampire blonde gal that "might or might not look like Rumia's mother" or "she might be related to the scarlet sisters just because in her song the word scarlet is in it" not just because her but because LLS is one of my all time favorite Touhou games even if its no longer canon.
So I fall into a really bizarre situation of being a Momoyo fan (primarily due to Dig it Dig out, banger of a banger of a song) and I have no idea what that implies since I'm sort of... On the fringe of the community. I am scared.
