Just so you know, the PvP isnt just a first person shooter, thats only one half of the equation. As a spy you play in 3rd person. It's actually a really fun mode! Although I miss the old version in Chaos Theory, it was amazing!
This is my personal favorite game of all time. Bought it back in 2014 and nothing’s ever supplanted the charm and joy that this game has provided through the years. I will say, the AI is stupid but STUBBORN, and so is a different kind of difficult to get past. As an aside, the Spies vs Mercs multiplayer is outlandishly fun, and I highly recommend it as a party game.
Out of every Splinter Cell, Blacklist and Chaos Theory hold a special place in my heart. I can't pick my favorites, because each of them have a lot of additional charm. I've always played CT on Expert and 100%-ed every mission, in Blacklist, always played on Perfectionist and Ghost Gold-ed each mission. To be completely fair, both have AI issues, but neither game can be perfect on paper, no matter the time of its release. But I love each of them and I always have fond memories of both games.
I agree with you, although Pandora Tomorrow and double agent, also hold a special place in my heart as well. I could live in Hokkaido. I had so many dreams of that mission.
It’s 12/30/2021 as I write this & this game is still my favorite Gameplay Game of All-Time. Just the freedom you have in this game is just amazing. I have bought this game for every platform available like the Wii U which I never owned.
I bought this game in 2021 a few days ago, I was shocked by how well made the game was made even down to the pre rendered cutscenes. The combat flows so well despite feeling weightless. fps boost would make the games combat perfect.

I am in two minds on this. I'd love another Splinter Cell of Blacklist's level of quality, but I am skeptical as to whether Ubisoft today can pull it off. They haven't been the same since they lost Jade Raymond.
Been playing Splinter Cell from the beginning, even played the psp version. Played Blacklist on the Wii U, you can use your gadgets from the touch pad, like the snake cam and the drone, the experience is very original and authentic.

I remember playing this game at Ubisoft Montreal, like 1 year before it actually dropped, for feed back amd stuff... it was awesome, i also remember dominating everybody there that day ahah 💯😎 they gave us all a copy of GR Future Soldier
The best they did graphics wise.Also you can cherry pick missions to replay afterwards without having to play through the whole game.I do miss the Ironside tones though

I've actually bought it and played it for the first time in 2020 or 2021 and loved every second. One of the best stealth games I've played and it's holding up really, really well. I actually plan to replay it soon.
This and GR Future Soldier is a throwback to when Ubisoft was great. Compare it with what Ubisoft puts out now and you can easily see how Ubisoft has back-stepped from former greatness. As for open world vs linear, given what we've gotten in the Open World explosion, I am leaning back toward a solid single player/coop structure. It feeds the fantasy of playing a splinter cell agent or Ghost or whatever much better. You move and interact with the world in a far more immersive and complex way. While some of the AI complaints are valid, the AI will still do more interesting things in this than modern Ubisoft games, where the AI is just plain non-existent or dumb. Like if the AI is suspicious, they will fight off your stealth takedown attempts. Or if you whistle for them too many times or while they are suspicious, they will attempt to flank your position instead of come right over. Compare this to the experiences we get in say something like Breakpoint and its no contest imo. Speaking to stealth takedowns, they are as realistic as any other game's and what it does right (again looking at you Breakpoint) is they aren't overly-flashy 30 second long affairs, they are fast and efficient, which is what you want in a game where you need to move quickly and return to stealth. My only complaint about Splinter Cell Blacklist is that they didn't use Michael Ironside for Sam, that's really it.
this game was so amazing. i remember being so excited to play this after school in 4th grade. but i was so ass at the multiplayer that it kind of warped my memory of the game lol
This is one of the only games where I am constantly finding new mechanics and features of the gameplay which make the game more fun and versatile, without the game outright telling me about them For example, shooting while on a ledge or ladders Best Splinter Cell imo and I don't even mind the voice actor that covered for Michael Ironside, while he was dealing with cancer. He does a pretty good job, though of course, the game would be even cooler if Sam had Ironside's voice in it
There is still a community on Steam if you need help completing the Briggs missions. IT's still alive specifically for people like you, who just got the game and want those unlocks.
Splinter Cell is always worthy of a play-through. I've never been disappointed, and i have been playing since the first game on the original Xbox. Been waiting a while for a new title.
Yeah dude it's a really good game I'd buy the 5th freedom collector's edition but the seller doesn't want to split for the unopened box for less than 62€, and only offer 51€. What do you think?
I’m left handed and shoot left handed, and I used to love this game because you could click the stick and switch aim and move the camera to the other shoulder, awesome.
I used to always play splinter cell when I had my Xbox 360 before it broke, and I loved all their games my only problem with Blacklist was that it was a different voice actor for Sam Fisher, whoever did the voice for Sam in the all the previous games made him iconic and to change his voice in the last game of Blacklist just made it really disappointing, don't get me wrong I loved Blacklist it just was not the same without the original Sam Fisher
That’s fair, I had the same kinda issue when they did that in Batman Arkham Origins. I’m not too familiar with original voice so it didn’t bother me as much but I understand why that would upset OG fans
@@masterassassin791 you know what's interesting though that plane that they were using for their HQ in Blacklist is that u actually see that plane for short period of time in Farcry New Dawn when u take one of the expeditions u have to find some supply cargo in some government plane wreck and when u go inside u c that it is the exact same plane from SC Blacklist and u can even find a note from Sam Fisher, I found that really cool!

I remembwr doing SvM on ps3 and i made a merc build with an adrenaline shot and lets say i got like 10 kills from running around lile a jackass and just killing them with melee (thats right i didnt fire i single bullet and got 10 kill)

Splinter Cell multiplayer is an asymmetric PvP with one side playing it as an FPS and the other as a stealth game. The stealth side has reduced firearms availability so they necessarily have to use the gadgets and takedowns if not evade enemies entirely
just starting playing this again. Splinter Cell was the entire reason I bought the OG Xbox. This game definitely holds up in 2020 and I'm looking forward to the one soming in 2021 (allegedly)
This game is still the gold standard when it comes to core stealth mechanics. I love the way Sam always tactically hides a body behind a wall after performing a corner or ledge takedown. The only other game that comes close to this is Deus Ex Mankind Divided
Great video bro. I play splinter cell blacklist svm on ps3 it's good sometimes but they need to update it. There is a glitch that allows you to freeze the lobby I have some videos on it on my channel. Apart from that it's one of my favourite games. I would highly suggest people to try it.

This was the first Splinter Cell game I played. I played it for years and had so much fun. It made me want to play the other games. This- well last year I bought all the SC games I could on xbox and they were a lot of fun. But of clunkiness but good games After playing through them, I'd put Blacklist at #2. Hell, maybe even at #1 because of all the fond memories I have with it, but it's so hard to decide because Chaos Theory was so good. Do I say it's still worth playing? Yes! And if you want to play lots of Splinter Cell, might as well because idk when we'll get a new one. There is that VR game Ubi announced but who knows how well sneaking in the shadows will be in VR
Played every splinter cell, chaos theory is definetily the best one in my opinion, blacklist is great if you can't stand the outdated graphics in the chaos theory. Conviction went lil away from the stealth, fortunately blacklist fixed this. All the older ones are good in my opinion tho. Easily worth buying the whole series if you are into stealth games as you can get all of the games super cheap nowadays. Main downside is the story/plot, most of the plot in the games are about stopping some major attack or terrorist attack. Conviction and double agent have more personal plots that focus on Sam Fisher. Coop is fun in the chaos theory, double agent and conviction. The coop in the blacklist felt like a missed opportunity. Get them if you are in for good stealth, if you are looking for good story, these games might not be for you.
Hell Yeah!!! I'm glad you check it out and learned what we *TRUE* Splinter Cell fans have known for a long time... Blacklist is absolutely phenomenal! When it was originally released, it got thrown under the bus by a bunch of whiny brats. The major complaints that killed Blacklist before its time were that iT wAsN't ChAoS ThEoRy and that iT dOeSn"T hAvE iRoNsIdE. "Fans" boycotted the game because Michael Ironside (the voice of Sam Fisher) wasn't involved. Ironside was fighting cancer during the development of Blacklist, and wanted to keep it quiet until he was ready to talk about it. Ubisoft, in turn, gave a pretty weak excuse for needing new actors that could physically act while delivering lines, and that excuse didn't go over well, leading to the boycott (absolute idiots. They killed an incredible game over such a silly reason). Along with the boycott, Blacklist released between the annual releases of AAA franchises like COD and Battlefield, and also GTA5. Sales wise, it simply couldn't keep up, and the devs abandoned it. *TRUE* fans continued to play and support it, but without Ubisoft, all we were able to do was keep the multiplayer servers online. There are barely any mods for the game either, as Ubisoft did not make Blacklist a mod-friendly game... the only mods out there that work well are reshaders and a couple of other mods, one which give you the Revenant suit skin in place of the Nanostealth suit, and another that changes the ballistics of the games weapons to be more realistic (allowing you to use Assault rifles for sniping in most scenarios, since the game's environments are made with very few actual sniper level distances)... Handguns and Shotguns have much more limited ranges though, as they should. Blacklist still remains as a *MORE* than worthy successor to Chaos Theory, taking everything beloved about that game and expanding on it. There are better takedowns, better stealth, more options for accomplishing your missions (you can go in stealthy as expected, or you can go in guns blazing... or any combo in between, all done without penalizing you for choose one over the other). The Playstyle system grades you according to how effectively you play using any of the three styles. And features like Killing in Motion work across all 3 styles, since you can use non-lethal weapons during executions (You lose this ability on higher difficulties, but thankfully someone came out with a mod that reworks the AI so that you can have perfectionist level AI while still keeping the features found on Hard and below). I'm absolutely ecstatic that Blacklist has been experiencing such a huge revival... but also fearful, since this could possibly lead to Ubisoft making a new Splinter Cell. Now, normally that would be a good thing, but with modern Ubisoft's studio wide practices, it would more than likely screw this franchise deeply. Modern Ubisoft has 5 practices that are prevalent through almost *ALL* the franchises it has, and they're so bad they've become literal memes: 1. They feel the need to monetize *EVERYTHING,* regardless of whether it should be free or not. 2. Every game needs to have an open world, whether it fits within the core game design or not. And then, these open world are filled with repetitive and painfully monotonous activities, which almost *ALWAYS* turn you into an errand boy for various NPCs. The open worlds are also usually bland and lifeless, even if they are populated with NPCs (one notable exception was Ghost Recon Wildlands, in which NPCs actually led lives, and you could follow a random NPC throughout their entire day, from start to finish) 3. Every game must have guest appearances from characters in other franchises, regardless of whether the appearance makes sense or not. These guest appearances are usually so horrible that they betray both the franchise that they came from, and the franchise they're appearing in. 4. Every game *MUST BE ONLINE,* even if you're playing single player. Good luck in playing any Ubisoft game offline... doesn't happen (with the notable exception of pirated versions of recent Assassins Creed games). 5. If there is a custom character creator, it *MUST* include women. And there women *MUST* be as featureless and unfeminine as possible, to the point that they might as well have just kept it to men only. What is the point of including both men and women in the character creator, if the women look nearly indistinguishable from the men??? It's frustrating for EVERY player, man or woman. Given these practices, it is very likely that if modern Ubisoft makes a new Splinter Cell, the possibility of getting it wrong is much higher than the possibility of getting it right. So for all new fans just discovering Blacklist, welcome to the party and enjoy the game. *JUST DON'T EXPECT ANY MORE SPLINTER CELL GAMES TO BE COMING OUT SOON.* R.I.P. Splinter Cell 2002-2013
sam fisher usually do not kill anyone in the missions and does the job without anyone finding out about it like it never happened everyone remains untouched and that's how you score highest in this game
I have not watch the video all the way but I think you should buy Splinter Cell Blacklist. It's one of the best stealth game that came out in the last 10 years in my opinion.

Just got it for 8 dollars, because I saw he was a character in Rainbow 6 Siege as Zero. Wonder if it would be better than Metal Gear Solid games.

Best Splinter Cell imo and I don't even mind the voice actor that covered for Michael Ironside, while he was dealing with cancer. He does a pretty good job, though of course, the game would be even cooler if Sam had Ironside's voice in it

I’m left handed and shoot left handed, and I used to love this game because you could click the stick and switch aim and move the camera to the other shoulder, awesome.

I remember playing this game when I was around 8 and now I’m 14 time really flies doesn’t it? I missed this game honestly.
I used to always play splinter cell when I had my Xbox 360 before it broke, and I loved all their games my only problem with Blacklist was that it was a different voice actor for Sam Fisher, whoever did the voice for Sam in the all the previous games made him iconic and to change his voice in the last game of Blacklist just made it really disappointing, don't get me wrong I loved Blacklist it just was not the same without the original Sam Fisher
That’s fair, I had the same kinda issue when they did that in Batman Arkham Origins. I’m not too familiar with original voice so it didn’t bother me as much but I understand why that would upset OG fans
@@masterassassin791 you know what's interesting though that plane that they were using for their HQ in Blacklist is that u actually see that plane for short period of time in Farcry New Dawn when u take one of the expeditions u have to find some supply cargo in some government plane wreck and when u go inside u c that it is the exact same plane from SC Blacklist and u can even find a note from Sam Fisher, I found that really cool!

I remembwr doing SvM on ps3 and i made a merc build with an adrenaline shot and lets say i got like 10 kills from running around lile a jackass and just killing them with melee (thats right i didnt fire i single bullet and got 10 kill)

Splinter Cell multiplayer is an asymmetric PvP with one side playing it as an FPS and the other as a stealth game. The stealth side has reduced firearms availability so they necessarily have to use the gadgets and takedowns if not evade enemies entirely
just starting playing this again. Splinter Cell was the entire reason I bought the OG Xbox. This game definitely holds up in 2020 and I'm looking forward to the one soming in 2021 (allegedly)
This game is still the gold standard when it comes to core stealth mechanics. I love the way Sam always tactically hides a body behind a wall after performing a corner or ledge takedown. The only other game that comes close to this is Deus Ex Mankind Divided

Great video bro. I play splinter cell blacklist svm on ps3 it's good sometimes but they need to update it. There is a glitch that allows you to freeze the lobby I have some videos on it on my channel. Apart from that it's one of my favourite games. I would highly suggest people to try it.

This was the first Splinter Cell game I played. I played it for years and had so much fun. It made me want to play the other games. This- well last year I bought all the SC games I could on xbox and they were a lot of fun. But of clunkiness but good games
After playing through them, I'd put Blacklist at #2. Hell, maybe even at #1 because of all the fond memories I have with it, but it's so hard to decide because Chaos Theory was so good.
Do I say it's still worth playing? Yes! And if you want to play lots of Splinter Cell, might as well because idk when we'll get a new one. There is that VR game Ubi announced but who knows how well sneaking in the shadows will be in VR

Played every splinter cell, chaos theory is definetily the best one in my opinion, blacklist is great if you can't stand the outdated graphics in the chaos theory. Conviction went lil away from the stealth, fortunately blacklist fixed this. All the older ones are good in my opinion tho. Easily worth buying the whole series if you are into stealth games as you can get all of the games super cheap nowadays. Main downside is the story/plot, most of the plot in the games are about stopping some major attack or terrorist attack. Conviction and double agent have more personal plots that focus on Sam Fisher. Coop is fun in the chaos theory, double agent and conviction. The coop in the blacklist felt like a missed opportunity. Get them if you are in for good stealth, if you are looking for good story, these games might not be for you.

Hell Yeah!!! I'm glad you check it out and learned what we *TRUE* Splinter Cell fans have known for a long time... Blacklist is absolutely phenomenal! When it was originally released, it got thrown under the bus by a bunch of whiny brats. The major complaints that killed Blacklist before its time were that iT wAsN't ChAoS ThEoRy and that iT dOeSn"T hAvE iRoNsIdE.
"Fans" boycotted the game because Michael Ironside (the voice of Sam Fisher) wasn't involved. Ironside was fighting cancer during the development of Blacklist, and wanted to keep it quiet until he was ready to talk about it. Ubisoft, in turn, gave a pretty weak excuse for needing new actors that could physically act while delivering lines, and that excuse didn't go over well, leading to the boycott (absolute idiots. They killed an incredible game over such a silly reason). Along with the boycott, Blacklist released between the annual releases of AAA franchises like COD and Battlefield, and also GTA5. Sales wise, it simply couldn't keep up, and the devs abandoned it.
*TRUE* fans continued to play and support it, but without Ubisoft, all we were able to do was keep the multiplayer servers online. There are barely any mods for the game either, as Ubisoft did not make Blacklist a mod-friendly game... the only mods out there that work well are reshaders and a couple of other mods, one which give you the Revenant suit skin in place of the Nanostealth suit, and another that changes the ballistics of the games weapons to be more realistic (allowing you to use Assault rifles for sniping in most scenarios, since the game's environments are made with very few actual sniper level distances)... Handguns and Shotguns have much more limited ranges though, as they should.
Blacklist still remains as a *MORE* than worthy successor to Chaos Theory, taking everything beloved about that game and expanding on it. There are better takedowns, better stealth, more options for accomplishing your missions (you can go in stealthy as expected, or you can go in guns blazing... or any combo in between, all done without penalizing you for choose one over the other). The Playstyle system grades you according to how effectively you play using any of the three styles. And features like Killing in Motion work across all 3 styles, since you can use non-lethal weapons during executions (You lose this ability on higher difficulties, but thankfully someone came out with a mod that reworks the AI so that you can have perfectionist level AI while still keeping the features found on Hard and below).
I'm absolutely ecstatic that Blacklist has been experiencing such a huge revival... but also fearful, since this could possibly lead to Ubisoft making a new Splinter Cell. Now, normally that would be a good thing, but with modern Ubisoft's studio wide practices, it would more than likely screw this franchise deeply. Modern Ubisoft has 5 practices that are prevalent through almost *ALL* the franchises it has, and they're so bad they've become literal memes:
1. They feel the need to monetize *EVERYTHING,* regardless of whether it should be free or not.
2. Every game needs to have an open world, whether it fits within the core game design or not. And then, these open world are filled with repetitive and painfully monotonous activities, which almost *ALWAYS* turn you into an errand boy for various NPCs. The open worlds are also usually bland and lifeless, even if they are populated with NPCs (one notable exception was Ghost Recon Wildlands, in which NPCs actually led lives, and you could follow a random NPC throughout their entire day, from start to finish)
3. Every game must have guest appearances from characters in other franchises, regardless of whether the appearance makes sense or not. These guest appearances are usually so horrible that they betray both the franchise that they came from, and the franchise they're appearing in.
4. Every game *MUST BE ONLINE,* even if you're playing single player. Good luck in playing any Ubisoft game offline... doesn't happen (with the notable exception of pirated versions of recent Assassins Creed games).
5. If there is a custom character creator, it *MUST* include women. And there women *MUST* be as featureless and unfeminine as possible, to the point that they might as well have just kept it to men only. What is the point of including both men and women in the character creator, if the women look nearly indistinguishable from the men??? It's frustrating for EVERY player, man or woman.
Given these practices, it is very likely that if modern Ubisoft makes a new Splinter Cell, the possibility of getting it wrong is much higher than the possibility of getting it right. So for all new fans just discovering Blacklist, welcome to the party and enjoy the game. *JUST DON'T EXPECT ANY MORE SPLINTER CELL GAMES TO BE COMING OUT SOON.*

sam fisher usually do not kill anyone in the missions and does the job without anyone finding out about it like it never happened everyone remains untouched and that's how you score highest in this game
