I know it’s been SEVEN YEARS, but I reference this video as a “refresher”, as well as recommend it to others, quite often! Today is another one of those days! It is 09 Feb 2024! I am a crocheter mostly, but this stitch is used from time to time, but not often enough - FOR ME, personally, to feel completely confident. At any rate, I appreciate you STILL and thought I’d pop into the comments and say so, on the off chance y’all will see this! Thank you so very much - again! 😊 cheers! Lisa in Ohio ☺️🫶🏻🧶🪡🧵
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! As a Father who doesn't have a supportive mother and whose grandma died before she could teach... I've always wanted to learn. It's such a good skill to know and use.
I know this was 2 years ago, but I just wanted to leave a supportive comment (since the others aren't, really). It is so wonderful to hear of a father who wants to sew and do what he can for his family. I really hope you were able to keep this up! What you and your family can get out of sewing is so much better than anything store bought, or can enhance what was store bought (like new clothes for their dolls, or keeping existing clothing in good condition)! Keep up the good work
I have looked at five books trying to figure out this stitch to no avail. I watched this twice and have already completed sewing around my pocket as desired. I am so happy. Thank you so much for this clear tutorial. I’m ready to do the edge of my skirt now. 🌼
Really nicely explained. My daughter was given a cushion kit to make and I had to show her the blanket stitch. She and I were able to make sense of what looks like a complicated method. Big thanks and thumbs up from us both.
Thanks for the easy instructions and video. Love how you started the video with the first stitch and explain as you go. I have stared at countless tutorials and it hasn't clicked. I finally feel confident enough to finish an applique project I started years ago!
Trying to prevent fray on the inseam of a set of pants that split at the crotch. This video is 8 yrs old and was still the 1st recommendation when searched for refresh!!! Thank you!
This was amazing I never learned how to sew and you made this easy and so easy to follow (especially with the colors and thick thread) thank you for posting 😊
I come back to this video all the time and always specifically look for your tutorial. It’s succinct, friendly, and so informative! You’re wonderful, thank you for your help! 😊✌🏻
Thank you for the up-close tutorial! I’ve been trying to remember how to do it. I want to use it on the front facing and collar section of a whimsical cow fabric jacket I’m making. The facings are already sewn together, just want the decorative stitching for a little more whimsy.
I have searched and searched AND searched for a tutorial on the blanket stitch and watched countless videos and still not able to get it. Yours did the trick! It was perfect! I just subscribed and look forward to your other videos. Thank you so much!
Thank you very much for making this video! You didn't make a long intro, just straight to the tutorial and the tutorial itself is very explaining and clear! Thank you :>
Thank you so much! This was just what I needed to learn and because of your clear, easy to understand instruction, and easy to follow video, I was able to pick it up right away!
