He was two minds on it. Vader hated Palpatine and wanted revenge on him for what he did to him, however, Palpatine was all Vader had left after the death of Padme and the destruction of the Jedi Order. Not to mention due to his injuries and outdated armor, Vader had no chance of overthrowing Sidious due to the latter's mastery of Force Lightning
An awesome video you made as always when it came to it i tought that vader's limitation in his force powers were more psychological rather than fysical because George Lucas's explanition of vader's lost of power was due to his limbs made no sense to me the midichlorian count is the concentration within each cell and not the overall body
First, I thought the ending of Return of the Jedi already answered the question of why Vader never tried to overthrow Palpatine. Second, Vader should be blaming himself because had he not listened to any of Palpatine's lies or tried to kill Obi-wan, he wouldn't have ended up in that suit.
Just from the movies, Vader was a tough guy and a good henchman but a terrible sith. Guessing the emperor wanted it that way. Appears he might've trained Vader in some stuff but left out a lot. Especially sith philosophy. Think emperor knew he found the right muscle with little threat to himself. A very loyal guy with a lot of violent skill. Who also didn't seem that bright. Vader kind of reminds me of Luca Brasi from The Godfather.
I don’t understand why anakin would try and overthrow palpatine soon after killing obi wan. Wasn’t his whole fall to the dark side to gain the knowledge of preventing death? Why wouldn’t he at least wait until him and Palpatine figured it out before killing him? If not, he could have let mace kill palpatine, then he kills mace and proceeds to wreck the Jedi temple. Palpatine wouldn’t have been needed at any stage
He did try to kill him, when his surgery was over the very first thing he did was attempt tk grab Palpatine with the force, and he failed. The Palpatine hit him woth force lightning and told him tk never touch him with the force again, ever. This cycke of him toturing vader with lightning happened several times during the period between rots and rotj , vaders suit wouldnt allow him to beat Palpatine, but then he felt alone and Palpatine was all he had left. He could bave uograded his suit , Palpatine even told him too, yet he didnt because he feared hed kill the last lerson he had.
In my opinion this proves Vader terrible being a Sith, a Sith who doesn’t have the hunger for power to surpass and kill the master is no true Sith at most the explanation proves Darth Vader is nothing but a slave.
Yeah, I gotta disagree here. I normally like your videos, but this one missed the mark. Vader *did* attempt to overthrow Palpatine, in both Legends and Canon. Empire Strikes Back makes it abundantly clear that Vader intended to rule the galaxy. The 2017 Darth Vader comic shows Vader outright try to bring Palpatine down several times. First on Coruscant, then on Exegol, then once more on Coruscant. Literally three attempts in under a year. In Legends, Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader doesn't touch on a lot of Vader's later life. Once Vader gets his shit together after a few years, he makes many, many plans to bring Palpatine down. Even before he found out about Luke, Vader had plans with the Starkiller Clone, Kharys, Lumiya, the Muur Talisman, Bota Extract (in the Coruscant Nights books), and after ESB, Vader also trained Flint as a fallback option in case Luke didn't side with him against the Emperor. Vader just never reached the point of a direct, head-to-head confrontation with Sidious in Legends the way he did in Canon because so many of his plans fell apart before they reached that point, or because he died before Flint and Lumiya were up to the task. I definitely wouldn't say Vader "NEVER WANTED" to overthrow Palpatine like your title suggests. I'd say he just needed a few years to properly learn from Palpatine before he was ready to start making plans of conquest.
Loving the Vader content as of late, got a criticism for this vid, found the music to be loud and found your explanations hard to hear over it. Keep up the great work man 👍👍
I debated posting this comment because I thoroughly enjoy your videos. I waited until the very end of the video to make sure my thoughts were genuine. I am not a fan of the new music. It’s distracting and does not compliment the videos. If you are wanting a change, Duel of The Fates would be a better choice IMO. Having said that, your videos are still incredibly well done and interesting to watch. Your choice of music will not stop me from enjoying the content.
Vader the most overrated and most pathetic sith of all time. He failed badly on mustafar and by then was a used as a tool thtas about it. He never was a master

I loved the new musical choice in this video
I love the background music. I get TFU vibes ❤
Palpatine failed to destroy Anakakin. He was always present and was Vader's weakness in the Dark Side.

How many times has this guy rewrapped this video under a different name and called it new

Anakyn was always still there
Love the music!
What was your old music called please 😭 I’ve been searching for a while
How many videos are you going to do over this specific excerpt of that novel?
I was a little thrown off by the change in BGM at first lol
this makes a lot more sense.
Whats the bg music

Vader was not had a 20 percent chance to not break palpatine force wall so technically he’s powerful enough to kill him
how powerful is darth vader legends
I remember reading that Vader was roughly 80% as strong as Sidious after Mustafar. That's still incredibly powerful.
He always knew about Luke he hid that from sidious
No, in canon he only found about Luke being named "Skywalker" shortly after the events of A New Hope, when Boba Fett told him.

If u read the books he'd always wanted to kill sidious. He hated him he wanted the rules with his son.
This lore is directly from one of the books!

Thanks bro, I’ll work on it
The new background music is a little too loud. In my opinion the old soundtrack you had was better. None the less great video man
Thanks for the feedback, I’ll work on it
Vader always wanted to kill Sidious, yet he never tried. It was a bit pathetic honestly. I always pitied Anakin.

Ok thanks for the feedback bro. I tried switching it up because I got multiple comments saying to change the music lol
