I can tell the difference between 60 and 30fps I just don’t care it being at 30, it doesn’t mean anything as long as the game is fun to me, like I played tears of the kingdom and that’s at 30 I know it’s on the switch but I just don’t think it’s as big deal as people make it out to be
The Zelda comparison is not a good one because it's only available on switch which is extremely dated tech. You don't have any other option but 30 Fps.
This game doesn't even look stunning compared to other polished games that were released years ago such as Horizon forbidden west and GOW Ragnarok, both of which had performance mode with GOW Ragnarok allowing up to 120 Fps.
But luckily Capcom decided to launch a day 1 PC version which allows up to 120 fps. Easy choice!

DD2 is using the RE engine. but a point on ps5 titles running at 60+ fps the titles you mentioned were platform exclusives. they are generally better optimized ond the flipside of that we end up with goated exclusives like Bloodborne running at nauseating frames.
would I have prefered 60fps on DD2 on consoles? absolutely. can I look at the minimum required specs for DD2 and understand consoles are fighting a losing war? hell yeah. don't blame the devs for creating *what we asked and dreamed for* ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Moore's Law has been disproven in the past decade. it's no suprise they can't keep doing those "next gen jumps"

I think that im ok with this and will have to wait and see what the pacing and variation in events and or monsters thoughout the world before i decide on the fast traveling....im ok with the fast travel events are a cool idea as well
I agree with almost everything you said but my only issue are with the people who won’t play the game soley BECAUSE it’s 30 fps. To me, that seems very childish and petty because they have mfs saying “oh this game is trash, 30 fps? Yeah it’s DOA” like brother some of the greatest game of all time were locked at 30 fps. If the game is fun and good then who really gives a fuck? These are things I expect as a console gamer and if people are really THIS upset by this then just get a pc. I understand that you should expect more with what you buy but if you’re able to buy fucking $500 consoles and $1000 phones then you should just not buy a console and save up for the pc in the first place and if people this upset about the framerate of all things but won’t bite the bullet to get a pc then don’t complain this much about it.
If people buy a next gen console and expect next gen performance but dont receive it then they have a right to complain and not purchase the game.
If the new standard is all games having a fidelity and performance mode then everyone wins. I just think it's dumb that people like you who don't understand how much of a significant difference 30 and 60 Fps can have on visual enjoyment of a game.
It's like you are a massive fan of detective movies, watched the recent highest quality one and claim you don't get how people are skipping watching the movie just because they don't like the detective genre.
The fact that many games have and continue to be at 30FPS and people play them just fine is proof that this whole “30 FPS is terrible!” argument has no real legs. If anyone gets sick from it, I assure you they’re the minority.

lol just buy a physical copy, leave it sealed and play on pc. Shrug.
