I’m really annoyed at the shills who are buying the pro. I have the money to buy it, but i won’t because of my morals. They jumped the price and took off the fucking disc drive. They’re too greedy
My problem is that none of these companies have a f****** budget limit like you're telling me Spider-Man 2 cost that much the PS5 pro cost so much and guys. These guys expect people to catch up bro.Minimum wage hasn't even caught up and inflation is going crazy
With them also increasing the price of the controllers, I wouldn't recommend anyone wanting a PS5 to get it. Increase cost of the controllers, not to mention the other accessories for the PS5 ? It's not worth it unless it hugely goes down in price during black Friday or sum.
@@omegaproplusso do you say this for the switch controller and Xbox ones? I know you ain't said this about the Xbox elite controller which is $200 now did you?
I get that you can play the games on PS4 but I think the upgrade you get with the PS5 (performance mode, etc) has been very much worth it, at least from my perspective going from base PS4 to PS5. However, this PS5 pro doesn't seem worth it at all.
Costs like my grandma, has no disc drive and stand included... think I'll stick with my base PS5: cheaper, and includes disc drive + stand. Realization: I have the damn digital version... 💀
The only PS5 game that blew me away since the release was FFXVI & that's kinda sad as someone who loves Playstation & grew up with every Sony console. I feel like with what we were told the power of PS5 was FFXVI should be the AVERAGE. I know they'll never do it, cuz like you said, they'll lose money, but more games need to be optimized for the PS5 we have now. There's no need for a PS5 Pro. Where's at the very least backwards compatibility?! I just don't believe technology isn't at a point to allow our PS5 to play those older games. This fiending for NEW NEW NEW SHINY SHINY is disappointing when we have a device that it feels like they aren't even trying to maximize.
The sad thing about this is they could have upgraded the PlayStation 5 like the pro.A long time ago, I'll just keep my PlayStation 5. You have a suspect
I would also argue that while it is Sony's own doing, COVID did play a factor too, but it falls on Sony to acknowledge that. A lot of folks didn't get a PS5 until like 2022 or even last year. Cause remember the PS4 Pro came out like almost 4 years after the PS4. About the same time as the PS5 - PS5 Pro timeline but it doesn't feel like it at all
@@donnellbrown4575 the whole case between Apple and Epic started because Epic lowered the prices of Vbucks across everything since they where getting the money directly(that includes the PlayStation store) and not having to play for revenue cuts, and Apple got mad of that.
At $700 it's better to save up PC for long term because after your first setup, you don't replace the whole machine. If you already have a PC, getting a rtx 4070ti will easily outperform PS5 pro for the same price.
literally, after taxes, here in Canada, is it actually $1k CDN lool (and that's not including the essential subscription, which after taxes is about $90-$100). and then video games being more expensive, too. yeah....this may be my last console with playstation, honestly.
kinda crazy that the ones being consistent and continously delivering games while also maintaining the creativity alive in this generation are all indie devs,AAA game studios don't do that anymore or at least not in a short/manageable time span. Indies do try to make their games available in all the consoles possible but most of these games are only available on steam. So i think it's better that instead of spending $700usd for ps5pro + $80usd for disc drive + $30 usd for vertical stand + extra money for PSplus membership and games, spend that money instead in buying or building your gaming pc and have access to these games + pc gamepass + all the stuff you can do with a pc at home imo. But hey this is my opinion,i could be wrong and probably am.
Goodbye physical media... If the PS6 doesn't have a disc driver, I'm moving to PC. That combined with Sony now moving their exclusives to PC will push me out. I have a large backlog, I'll deal with the 2-5 year wait. Especially if I decide to sail the seas. I'll make one of those micro-itx PC builds and place it behind my TV, figure out how I can make it easy to jump into Steam TV mode or something.
13:45 that guy in chat is right when IS the next infamous? Great video btw talked about great stuff. Backwards compatibility for the PS5 pro would have gone far
Yep this is what happens when zero competition is present in the console sphere, sony can jack up prices on ps+ their controllers and hardware yet people will still buy and support them.
I could trade my ps5 in and get pro but fuck that man $700 with no disc drive is crazy especially in this economy rn? Nah im good my ps5 still works fine
Now with ps5 pro cost $700 without Disc drive & vertical stand just imagine Ps6 will cost $800 without Disc drive , vertical stand & Controller's sold saperately.😂😂😂😂😂😂
Im gonna save up for a pc im a young head 21 my parents ain't gonna buy me that growing up grew up on console but now im not getting my ass finessed by these companies
So I think the price is pretty insane and nickel and diming is pretty egregious with what they're doing with the disc drive and stand. This kind of does remind me of Apple in that regard, but I guess I'm kind of confused about this level of outrage. Don't people opt in to buying $1000+ pro model phones for what the general public perceive as minor upgrades? Obviously I'm not trying to argue that a ps5 has more value than a phone, but you're making the choice of opting into the pro version over getting the base model or keeping your old phone around for longer. Maybe this is just due to this more iterative release method in the phone market being normalized at this point which is why you see that level of diminishing returns unless you wait like 4+ years to upgrade. But yeah probably won't get this thing also because development timelines getting larger while console lifecycles remaining the same kind of makes it so you get less value since you'll just see less games.
What makes a console is the CPU, and the ps5 pro's CPU is rubbish it's a bottleneck system, and even better, the 60 FPS hype is all based on the developers choice to do 60 FPS and given the choice developers will make games for the ps5 pro at 30 FPS because of this bottleneck rubbish ps5 console is a waste of money. 2:46
53:30 I sold my xbox series s a month ago for a ps5 slim, main reason is, i also own a pc. I can get the game pass on my pc. So what’s the point of owning an xbox? No reason at all. But also, i like owning physical games. I hate digital. So i don’t care about the game pass anyways lol.
A Series X is worth it to me because I can put my physical 360/OG Xbox games in and play them. Red Dead remaster was an awful release but I can play the OG on my Series X and it runs better. Backwards compatibility will always be invaluable
At the cost of what though? Less job security and more corners cut resulting in even worse performing games with buggy/less features? The real issues are bloated budgets, crunch time and unhealthy/unsafe working conditions for developers
Sorry it won't flop, and if you don't get it..fine. It'll be 1 unit easier for someone else to get one. By the time most of you figure out it's a good console, It'll be sold out.
