Well Mrs. McAddams got her priorities straight. much straigther than Mr. Luddy. It's a train station for, not a bloody shopping centre, so of course the operational, the Railway side has to have greater priority. After all, what is a train station which has the greatest shopping arcade, but the trains can't get there, but an embarassment?
What is that mike guy bitching about? "People are to one eyed about railway, railway, railway....." He should get his priorities set straight, because his whole retail operation won't work without the trains. It's a railway project, not a shopping centre. And the railway is the thing that brings in the money, both figuratively speaking, with the tickets and the charges, but also literally, because it brings the people, and their pockets, which the retail wants to let, into the place.
When we went I actually didn't know much about the upper portion of St. Pancras. I wish I had! We came by Underground to catch the Eurostar and only saw the undercroft area. I didn't know to look up to see the statue. I'm bummed! The only thing we saw by coming by Underground were the shops around the Eurostar check in which was completely underneath the overhang. :(
what were they thinking with a 100ft champagne bar?! are they really that out of touch that they actually think people will be hanging out & drinking fucking champagne in a train station? a train station is a bus station with tracks, & the only people who drink at a bus station are drunks & hobo's....is that really what these people envisioned? the name alone is awful, Pancras sounds like Pancreas. Its an ugly sounding name, like 'GuffleFlop's station' , or "SchitzFlap station"
at 5 min 23 sec. "Bad English Grammar "....to really make this a..." Split infinitive "..to really...". This type of error is avoidable -- and should, and can, be avoided by better phrasing, such as "...to make this a really...". The verb in question is "to make". These simple grammatical mistakes are what one can expect from the uneducated lower classes.
