Plus 1 on the carhartt seat covers. I had them on my 2016 Ram and they stayed nice and tight the whole time. Easy to wash but only did it once.
Just an FYI for you. That toolbox will not fit if you have a Curt slider fifth wheel. Had to have the back of the box notched out to make it fit. Great video.

I have a 2012 GMC 2500HD like your 2018. 5 weeks ago I bought a 2022 GMC 2500HD. Just looking at the truck I knew the back seat was bigger but I got out a tape measure. The door is 5" wider and the distance from the back of the front seat when the seat is fully back to the back of the back seat is also 5" more. GM seems to always being playing catchup.
With your skill level I think the extra comfort pulling the back seat and having a bed would give you would be worth the 20 minutes it would take to change it out when you get back home. But I guess that leaves you with a bunch of additional stuff to store.
