    Incredible work... very detailed and coherent in the presentation of the different modes.
    But one tip I think might be useful is that the S21 Ultra EXYNOS is consistently generating better photos in terms of detail, white balance and HDR... Samsung is working hard on its chipset balance... I'm saying that because in other comparisons the dispute is easier to resolve with Exynos... in this one I believe you'll agree with me that the S21 was better in HDR and white balance... in details I won't say it anymore, it depends on the scenario... but for its versatility the S21 is ahead overall... but my tip is to keep an eye on Exynos... the scale has tipped in his favor recently.
    In addition, your work is stupendous... your family is beautiful... God bless you and success in the projects. Hug!

I'd say the iPhone 13 Pro Max looks more vibrant and the S21 Ultra looks a little bit more muted in some instances or a bit over-exposed looking. I'm not a camera/video expert so...yea...
    Either way, both have their pros & cons and it comes down to preference of the individual. You can always edit the photos anyway to adjust colors, tones, etc.

    Thats a pretty good comparison. I am disappointed too with the s21 Ultra's noise reduction. Mine does that too but I have noticed when I tryed to take a night picture with 108mp mode the noise was gone. It's very strange. Try it out

      HDR tends to add more noise and they add more noise reduction. The 108mp mode may not have as much HDR and so your noise will be hidden especially if darker areas are darker.

    Great video. Love how in-depth you go. S21 Ultra continues to be an amazing camera; still arguably the best if you consider every lens and every feature. But 13 Pro Max edges it out in FANTASTIC low-light performance, and still being the video king (though the difference between the two in video performance IS smaller than ever, so kudos to Samsung there). Also unfortunate to think about how Samsung has had Portrait Video for years and is still much worse than the iPhone's first attempt, for one main reason: all it does is cut out the individual. It's not bad at that, but it's not doing anything to emulate depth and DSLR-like aesthetics like the iPhone is trying to do. It's not great on iPhone, don't get me wrong. But Samsung definitely has more work to do than Apple. Samsung's front-facing portrait video is actually quite good, though, because its deficiencies are not nearly as clear in the style of video that comes from front-facing cameras (person right in the middle of the frame, no focus roll-off to worry about from wider shots, etc.).

Pre-ordered and then cancelled the Pixel 6 Pro (video was lack-luster), thinking about switching to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, but will hold off a little longer for the S22 Ultra or perhaps the OnePlus 10 Pro in 2022.

    This year Dolby vision HDR is default option.
    When i check the video which taken by iphone13 on PC, background was almost overexposed, especially sky.
    How did you take this? Did you turn off the Dolby vision option and shoot it? or need some processing to show normally on PC?

    Not many people seem to talk about the poor quality of videos with Samsung phones when you upload them on social media. Even with the s21 ultra , the quality is very poor compared to I phones. I have been a loyal Samsung customer for over 20 years , but this alone made me switch to I phone this year. I have multiple businesses on social media and video quality is important. I got sick and tired of always having to use my DSLR camera to record them and then upload them. I phone 13 max pro does the job very well and saves a ton of time. People have complained about this issue for years, but nothing has changed.

    I think a lot of people, myself included, are complaining about graining on the S21 Ultra, no matter what mode is used. Even if there is enough light (and low ISO on the camera), this issue persists. Have you come across a similar issue during your testing?

    Danny, I hope you elevate the caption a bit so that it is slightly above when we zoom in to your 2:1 videos. The corners of 2:1 aspect ratio is kinda annoying in recent iPhones since these already reach the curve part of iPhone screens.

    • @RennieAsh
      @RennieAsh 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't zoom to fill because you'll usually be losing out on some content. No one aspect ration can suit everyone.

    • @jcgraquino
      @jcgraquino 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RennieAsh I think raising the caption a bit wont hurt others while benefitting the small minority with curved corners. I dont zoom to fill typical 16:10, 16:9, 4:3 videos but 2:1 corners are reaching the notch and curved corners of mine.

    @Danny Winget, s21 Ultra is the Snapdragon or the Exynos version?

  • @salomons5564
    @salomons5564 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Both really great. Except 8K mode gives a true advantage to Samsung, Tips : shoot 8K then compress it into 4k (stock app) then you'll get some more detailed and colorfull videos, it really looks like a 1080p video coming out a DSLR sensor.
    To me the iPhone is really about consistency when shooting video, the versatility of the S21U gives much more creativity for a videographer (zoom, 8k, better stabilization, 1/1.33 sensor & depht of field !) But yeah night videos goes for the iPhone 😜
    Thanks for the quality time!
