Thanks a lot for that - really appreciate the words. It’s always interesting to see where new paths leads to and with SY I’d never thought it would be that much fun trying to cover their expression on an acoustic leaving all the noisy parts out and focusing on the rhythm and tone. A gift that keeps on bringing me new knowledge :)
I’m so glad you’ve returned. I really am. Your covers of those Sonic Youth songs turned them into something else. They sound like the folk and blues songs that will be played by wanderers at the end of the world. Do you think you could re record some of them? Halloween, for example?
Thanks a lot for those words my friend - much appreciated. Right now I'm just playing around and trying to figure out if these three-way instrumentals are working out and the in the nearest future I guess I'll be running through the whole catalogue again that way. So yes, I definitely think Halloween will be covered in that matter :)
This song kind of defined the 80's for me. Do you like Spiritualized? They / he (Jason Pierce) kind of defined the 90s' for me. Well, that and hardcore Techno. And Ren & Stimpy, thinking about it ;)
I actually spend more time with Experimental Jet Set, Blowjob (Goo-demos), Dirty and Sister than Daydream Nation when I first got into SY but eventually this song really grew on me. The lightness and straightforward feeling of uncomplicated summer-vibes just brush through. I tell myself that this was one of those incidents that just happens when you try out a new guitar tuning and, BOOM!, suddenly Teen Age Riot was created :) Spiritualized went through me lots of years ago and some of it was pretty alright but I haven't paid it much attention in quite some time I must admit.
No, or sort of. I have the actual song in my left ear and playing my version on top of that. So a sort of a playalong for myself. Back in the days when I first took on Sonic Youth I just played the songs based on memory. This time I try something new
It’s incredible how you can come as close as you do in capturing Sonic Youth songs’ aesthetic in acoustic form. Awesome stuff like always!
Thanks a lot for that - really appreciate the words.

@@TheSonicYouthAcousticProject I've learned a lot from yer videos. Are there any other noise rock bands that you've done?
Do you play to a click?
