- Donna Adelson, the Adelson family matriarch accused of plotting her former son-in-law’s murder, appeared before a Leon County judge Tuesday morning. Adelson was arrested at the Miami International Airport after purchasing a one way ticket to Vietnam with her husband. Earlier this month, her son, Charlie Adelson, was convicted for the murder scheme that killed former Florida State University law professor Dan Markel.

I know Donna wanted family to move to Miami but she could have rented a house in Tallahassee no reason to murder Dan so ironic she is now in Tallahassee and has lost her sunshines; but Dan still had litigation ongoing that would harm Wendi so Donna decided only his death would end the cases. But they could have hired better attorneys for Wendi instead they are wasting millions on murder defense and she ruined lives of the Markels and the grandsons

Imagine going from a home in Miami with some insane thread count sheets to government issued clothing and the joys of going to the bathroom with an audience and having to endure other people who you would never even acknowledge. Sleeping in a room with others on a steel bed and plastic mat. For the rest of her life she will only have food to eat that wouldn’t be fed to farm animals. No maid service, no fine restaurants and the only time she will leave is in a caged bus with others who more than likely aren’t particular about their personal hygiene. All this because her son in law said something that offended her. Just desserts.

Remember, no statute of limitations on murder. Imagine going through every day, being infamous and highly recognizable, likely worrying that your every conversation or text or post is being scrutinized by experts whose singular goal is to get justice for the man you had murdered.
She probably doesn’t have much of a conscience, but I hope there are intrusive memories of Dan’s crime scene photos, Charlie’s face as he heard his verdict, and her sons’ reactions to learning that they will never see their daddy again at ages 3 and 5.

Now the real punishment for Charlie will begin. After talking to him mom multiple times a day while in county jail, he's a convicted murderer heading for prison and she is in custody and can't contact him. Likely they will never speak again.

Dear Wendi, if you see this please review the case of Michael Williams who was killed by his wife Denise Williams by proxy, for the very same reasons yoi killed Dan. After 18 years, the man she married after killing Michael, spilled the beans & ratted her out. She went to prison after 18 years of freedom. She will likely die there. I wish you the same fate.

I have followed the case and am still appalled by the whole affaire. Yet, strangely enough, I don't feel any joy looking at this formerly well to do woman in her seventies being in this situation. It's sad all around.

She had private counsel Marisol Delcasso. The judge has to tell each defendant that a public defender is available for their hearing, which Donna didn’t need nor would she qualify because of all the $ that family has.

@guitarsoundsaround2360 Correct! The no bond requirement for count one (first degree murder) overrides the bond she would have been eligible for on counts two and three.. The judge explaining the rules for bond to her was just a formality and does not matter in her case at all as she is not eligible. Great news for team justice ⚖️.
