- I'm sure you all know by now that the PS2 era is my favorite gaming era. The amount of special games we got were endless. Literally a video game for everything you can think of. Movie Tie in games were some of my favorite games of all time. Being able to experience the movie and immerse yourself into the game really changed the way I looked at the film afterwards. Mind you, most movie based games were not as good as I remember from my childhood, but some held up to the test of time. I appreciated the effort of trying to revolutionize gaming back in that era regardless. Developers took risk. Something that they don't do today. King Kong was one of those movie based games that turned out to be a masterpiece in my opinion. Please remember to drop a like and comment which ps2 game we should play next!

The raptors used to scare the shit out of me as a kid I would just hide because I was too scared to get ambushed by them
I also remember that was some type of secret ending where you save Kong at the end.
I remember as a kid being bored one night, and just sliding this game into the PS3. Thought it was going to be crappy, so had no expectations. I think the game came free with something else I bought. But that night I had one of the best gaming experiences ever, I ended up finishing it that night, glued to the screen.
It was such an awesome game! I had little to no expectations as well for it and it was just unreal. Probably one of the best movie based games!

I used to own this game as a kid and man I used to get jumped scared by a lot of creatures and even the sounds, but man do I love this game still

Such a great video. Dont know how i havent found this channel sooner. One game i would love to see a video about is Jet Li: Rise to Honor. Its a ps2 exclusive and in my opinion its a hidden gem and alot of fun

A lot of youtubers who play rise to honor do not know how to do combos or properly use the adrenaline bar. Im not disrespecting them by saying this, I just want to point out that theres a-lot more gameplay tips and features to rise to honor that people still dont know.
Please play Transformers (2004) for the PS2 if you haven't already.
It's one of the best games the console had. The graphics were ahead of its time. And the open world maps were beautiful. And then the boss fights. This game was what AAA nowadays should be.
It was my first game. Afterwards I've bought GTA San Andreas.

I haven't tried it yet but you are supposed to be able to turn on the Hud in the menu options. This allows you to see how much ammo you have instead of guessing based on Jack's dialogue.
This game is the definition of "immersive"
Enter the Matrix/ Matrix Path of Neo was a source of many enjoyable hours.

4:42 I HATED these things. Those and being King Kong are what I remember most from the game.
The centipedes were the absolute worst! Theyd lunge at you and appear out of nowhere!😂😂
If you haven't already, try out R.A.D., or "Robot Alchemic Drive"
It's a standard giant robot fighting game, except instead of driving a giant robot, you play as _the guy driving the giant robot._ You even get to control your robot like some kind of steven spielberg animatronic, clumsily moving one leg at a time and winding up for punches. It was a fantastic gem
