Bostin Angling Is that a Barbel?

First Session on the barbel, bit of a mixed session. Nath and Rich went to a different venue and me and Melv stayed at original planned location...
I had a run from a Chub earlier on, which is the one landed and a couple of questionable knocks. Melv then had a Barbel at around 4 and half, after net and pole was deducted, just after the sun dipped behind some trees. My next two runs was off camera. The first was a good run that didn't hook up, I think might have been another Chub, but bigger. This was followed by another big hitting run, this time it did hook up and went directly to the floor of river exactly like a Barbel. I held a bit of pressure on it, without bullying it, it then came off bottom with a good kick and the neck head shake threw the hook... Win some, you lose some.
Rich had a Chub of his own, looked a bit bigger than my one and Nath didn't have anything on Pike gear, though the section he went was a tricky fish.
Same again next week, get another river session in before close season.
