As a fashion student in the early 70's I went to a party at Clark's flat and I saw that painting. I also remember going to a club where I danced with Peter Schlesinger who was adorable. Back then all that was 'normal' and famous people were accessible. Today not so much.
Thanks for the reply. Interesting that Harry Potter isn't mentioned when they discuss Hollywood life. Also, not sure how anyone could dislike this video. Lovely people.
I think TPTB wanted to focus on Vera since it had so much critical acclaim. Not sure about the dislike either. It's a charming piece to see the couple getting to be themselves.
Fascinating. Love the 2 of them.
Love this couple they are amazing Hockney is amazing

Now they’re in the Downton Abbey movie together. Lovely.
What a sheer delight to watch...and learn from.
Wonderful.

So who kept the painting afterwards?

I totally agree! That hair of his does me in.

***** This was 2011 so no on both counts.
Pre Harry Potter (for Imelda) and Downton Abbey (for Jim)?
Mike Regan certainly pre Downton, I think. It was pre Harry Potter too but not 100% sure.
Seriously could he get any more charming?
his hair. seriously.
great idea for a show - but the guy somehow doesn't get the faces right...
Never liked Hockney, overrated
Lovely couple, interesting idea, dreadful painting.. I was hoping for something better.
