I absolutely LOVEDDDDDD the tandem read! I wasn't the biggest fan of Nestryn's story so it was nice to get to break it up with EOS too. At one point while tandem reading, I was way more excited for Chaol and Yrene's story. Absolutely recommend the tandem read for errrrrrrrybody
I finished Kingdom of Ash yesterday so I have A LOT of thoughts. 1. Reading assasin's blade first was the right move for me personally. You fall in love with celeana while also learning about her and the world. It also makes the last book extra special when the entire series ties up perfectly. 2. The tandem read was soooo worth the headache of figuring out when to switch books. I enjoyed it because I've never done a tandem read and don't really plan on having to do another but for these two books it is SO worth it!!! 3. ACOTAR got me into reading fantasy but I have to say... the story of TOG is so much better!!! I'm a huge romance girlie but the romance will come in TOG!! you just have to be patient and enjoy the journey. 4. I LOVE ALL OF THE CHARACTERS SO MUCH I'M TEARING UP JUST THINKING ABOUT THEM. So much love for this world and these characters. RIP to some special characters. You are missed.
I just finished the series and I RAN to this video, I was crying the entire last book, every love confessions, every death and every time Aelin was hurting and willing to die for her kingdom

Just finished KOA and want to reread already .. not ready to let it go. I loved doing the tandem read because TOD bored me a little bit.
This is incredible. TOG series has such a special place in my heart and true emotions that I 100% agree with you. I cried when Mikayla read her review, exactly how I felt.

I finally finished TOG so I was able to listen. I loved the series as a whole. Definitely had some fatigue in places. I did the tandem read and I liked it a lot. I think it prepared me for all the various perspectives in kingdom of ash. I also was expecting more tragedy and death but I am happy that everyone got their HEA
I’m 100% with Reggie. I loved ACOTAR and TOG, but TOD was a snooze. The tandem read was so good at some points, but was also an effort at others.
I’m glad I didn’t skip TOD. It helped by listening to it on audible. I’m glad I read it because certain scenes in Kingdom of Ash hit harder 😢

I feel like Reggie and Kennedy are really good about letting mikayla have her opinions about books they love but Mikayla doesnt love it. But in this video, I feel like they gang up on Reggie because she didn’t love it. Like she can have her own opinion about it.
