wow great videos, great channel, thank you for taking time to make these, test, and share with everyone. breeding in ark for me is super fun all my friends either hate it or just breed imprint for bonus an call it a day lol they cant understand how i can spend entire week sometimes longer just taming bunch of same dino and then breeding for days they'll come check in ask about things an see ive made little progress or watch as i kill off baby dinos for hours they just don't get it but that's ok i love being able to dive into breeding dinos an the whole system behind it.
your videos on breeding are some of the best ive seen both the in depth one and the more simple in game one (this video) are great i know there probably fast paced because the amount of info and time it would take to show everything and these videos are 100% worth watching great to learn from an fun to watch if you know most of the info but im sure even pro's can learn thing or 2 from them, if you did lets plays or playlists like ep1-20 or whatever where there is less cuts and slowed down id defiantly watch them as well but i understand those kind of videos aren't for everyone either way awesome job by far best asa content in my opinion on breeding seen few other channels covering breeding an alot of it was just wrong or overly complicated for no reason, i was told to check out tiia's videos by alot of ppl in my server an in bunch different discords so i had to check your channel out and wanted to say great job and thank you i will recommend your content to others for sure. so far ive only watched the 2 breeding videos but i feel like ive seen your channel before for ark maybe it was ase or asa but cant wait to see more liked subbed and commented have great day :)

I’ve been trying this on official servers and after almost 1 thousand eggs I still can’t get the second melee mutation 😢
The thing that always trips me up is transferring a new mutation to a male that already has mutations. My understanding was that you can't breed a mutated female with a mutated male, as you end up with a false mutation. I have been playing around with mutations today and so far it going well, just REALLY slow. thank you for the guide.
I'm following ur steps and I got all the female rex + 1 male rex on all same stats and trying to get mutations. I get +1 hp mutation but my problem is when trying to get +2 hp mutation. It gets OTHER stat mutations instead and never +2 hp.... Anyone knows why?
But now with ASA u can imprint and still tell you where the mutation no?
How do I combine dinos that have 20 mutations on three different dinos for example if I have 20 stamina mutation,and 20 melee mutation
and also 20 HP mutation how do I combine that or can I even do so?
The same way you would combine best stats.
Erm ok really stupid questions again sorry Tiia but to get like the life mutation You had. is it your male breeder first one breed with unmutated female and the then the mellee stat will go up potentially to there peak 255 ? Thanks in advance .

Just a note, while moving from a female mutation to a male is only slightly annoying for egg layers because you can let them queue up, especially if you have edited rates, it is such a pain in the ass for mammals and live birthers it is really not worth it, you are better off only pulling male mutations for them.
I usually keep females who have the same stats if it keeps not carrying over to have more chances. But yeah overall egg layers are easier
Thyla females with the mutations you want are a shockerrrr I’ve got a stamina female Mele female and female health stat thylas and it’s so hard to breed them back To males
Thank you, @TiiaAurora!! I was waiting for this video from ASA. Can you please possibly do a video with the different breeding platforms that work for dinos? I kept trying to pause your ASE videos to look over the platforms for your Theris and Megatheriums. Those breeding hit boxes are sometimes too tricky.
I tried something different. I tamed the lowest levels I could find (because they are more common), bred them until I get a male and female with 0 points in all their stats and then started breeding for mutations. Just a quick way of getting mutations while I look of high levels to breed together.
i do prefer higher levels cause they dont starve as quickly

In ASE it didnt matter. On ASA you want to have higher level Dinos because you don't change the base stat anymore but only the mutation stats.

So wait. I’ve gotten conflicting information from other videos. Is 20 mutations a hard limit or no?
When hitting 20 mutations that parent can't trigger another mutation. But it needs two parents to make a baby. If you keep one parent unmutated, you will keep getting mutations. Nothing conflicting here.

It may not be the most effective but I have a cryofridge set to auto claim babies and just search for the level Im looking for. It get tedious having to throw out all the cryopods but on PVE id still have to claim every baby to get rid of em. What i might end up doing is setting up ACs in my breeding pen so the eggs hatch just after theyve dropped and use the fridge to claim them.
how did you set cryofridges to be able to autoclaim/cryopod the new babies?

Is there anything similar to ASB for Xbox? If not am I able to work out levels using excel?
as long as you have a pc you can run ASB on you can use it for all platforms but mobile. Just manually type in the numbers.
The export gun will also be available to connect to an asb instance in the future. So you can use it on console as well
Great video, just a question, why use the mod? I export from the game and it seems to work fine, curious if I'm missing out on something cause I'm not using the mod.
The game doesn't export mutations correctly. It only exports raw stats and you would have to enter the mutations manually. You could use it like ASE but as soo as wildcard changes how much mutated levels raise the raw stat, it doesn't work anymore and then ASB can't calculate it anymore.

so i have a male with 0 -282million mutations can that trigger mutations on both sides or no
those animals only exist because someone abused a bug/glitch in the game therefore I can't give you any avice on that.

yes, having negtive on the male, counts has having 0 muts so it has the same chance to gain a mut on the male side as if it had 0/0 muts
not a bug or glitch, the more you breed mutated dinos the higher the mutation counter gets. (they dont stack a million mutations for stats though its just the counter gets added together) the number eventually flips negative because it cant actually go past a specific number, when it flips negative those are actually better breeders because the reduce chance of mutation past 20 no longer applies because they are essentially 0/0s@@TiiaAurora not a bug or glitch just happens normally while breeding
its better on the females though tbh. official pvp uses negative mutation females all the time. not a bug nor glitch

Hey Tiia, just wondered I've got a perfect male and perfect female, but both are different colours. My question is does this matter, as the stats are the same just the colour is different.

Can you stack one stat to 40? Or does it have to be two?
You can stack every stat up to 254. On official you might be restricted to level caps.
I have a burning question though, why lv150s ? isnt it more efficient to go for lv1s ? because of the 450 cap? or does that work differently here in ASA, confused, i first started working on a Rex line that had base 48hp/46dm . but no im working on getting lv1 rex's for full mutations because of the level cap.

450 cap is only on official. At least that's what we assume. I couldn't get any info from the devs if it's still the case.

@@leviboley Depends how efficient u are, rex's take around 3D to grow, but i batch 100 eggs in 1 day. Rex Lines are easy like some other lines, but for the Gigas/Carchas Enthusiasts, thats gona take years yes.

This is OBNOXIOUSLY complicated 🤮 its rare enough to find a very high level with a lot of points in the stat you want. Why did they spend more time making the breeding system so ludicrous instead of spending it on trying to figure out how to make the game more stable?
Hi, everybody say that when the male ( the one you are using to stack mutations ) have 20/20 mutations on both sides male and female you can’t get have mutations on the baby after mating with 0/0 female, but is that a myth ? Because if I understood you well, you can get mutations ( 15:45 ) , are you sure about this ?
Do the mutation stacks have to be on the same parent side? Or it doesn't matter? I got atk on male side then female side not sure if good or bad

I do use mods to guarantee rando mutations and i still get lost. You prepared the best male and female with the dinos you had before starting mutaions, does this helps or you just doing because the best stat possible?
As i said i do have mods to guarantee mutation and even change sex and im getting to the point where the dino has a lot of mutations on a bunch of stats and the offspring simply dont get all mutations.
If i get twins for example, and change the sex of 1 via mod, would i be able to accumulate faster the mutation?
I did this because then every offspring would be usable as a working dino no matter what stats they got. You can also have level 5 or even level 1 females. It really doesnt matter too much since the mutation always sticks to the higher base stat.
Its just important you NEVER change the females to mutated ones. They need to be fully unmutated.
One thing you might have missed out is that I dont put all stat mutations on one dino but I only mutate one stat per male. What you describe is the reason why. Because you never get all stats inherited.
What about breeding other lines in like if I have 5 muts hp and another tribe has 5 muts hp can I breed those lines together for 10 muts hp

On official I built a 2 story set up. With that, keeping the male on the 1st floor, I could hit 120 with 4 positions. I could of put more but I wanted to spread out the lag between 3 buildings. 300 total females.
How would you position your Dinos if they are mammals?
Probably on ramps or quarter ceilings. Mammals will always be a pain tho.

When I breed the new mutated male to a bunch of females with 0 mutations I never seem to get females without any mutations from the eggs is that how it should be?
Is the only way to get clean 0 mutations females by going back and breeding with the male with 0 mutations also?
You can't get unmutated creatures with a mutated parent. If you want unmutated offspring you need both parents to be unmutated
Not sure if you're aware, but ark has a built in export feature, you don't need the mod and ark breeder can read the files directly from your game as long as the paths are set up correctly
The built in feature is heavily restricted and doesnt support ASAs new mutation mechanic. That's why the ASB devs are developing this mod to have export support independent from if Wildcard every updates their export file or not. We talked to the devs and while they are aware of the flaws the export file has, right now it has low priority because it is "only" a third party tool depending on it.

My God.. In this part of the ark, everything is so simple that you don't need to shoot 1000 videos about it. you just tame a pair of any dinosaurs, pair them and wait for the mutation. For complete convenience, binoculars from the alpha cave are required!

Sorry to tell you but what you just said is very wrong yes that’s how most people breed but honestly that’s wrong you left out several steps in the advanced breeding stage ! It is way more involved than just mating and waiting ! Plus there is such a thing as nagative stat breeding but if you think just breeding creatures for mutations is simple I have zero doubt you would not be able to grasp that concept ! She has made a really good video about this second to only SeaShell and Teach !
@@jonlan7173 Negative Mutations is an abuse of a bug therefore I won't promote this on my channel. That's part of my work ethics plus also my responsibility when following Wildcards creator TOS.
