Legit subscribed because you did something none of these other TH-camrs have done and that’s talk about official servers and how you prep this with consideration.
For the visibility issue to keep agro and get hit...I used a 2x2 square, slim pillars in each corner and one connecting at the top and fences at the bottom to stop it running in. You can jump in and out and it also jumps out if it ends up in it.
This makes taking the Yi Ling not look that bad compared to the earlier tutorials I’ve seen luckily I just got some irrigation linked to my base so whenever I get some z fruits grown I should be able to get myself a Yi Ling. Theoretically you could also bring the Yi Ling to the taming trap location if you can’t build it close by, for example, I’ve found you can grab Yi Ling with the Karkinos and I’ve been using that to essentially stop them from bothering me by not letting them shoot, unfortunately you can only really grab them while they’re landed, and they seem to escape fairly well, but I don’t know if that’s a terrain collision thing for dropping them, or if my spam clicking of attack is accidentally dropping them.
The best way i found for it to go from pecking to flying again was to exit the trap from behind and then quickly run back in. For some reason they always start flying again.
The yi ling spawn rate on some parts on official are horrendous. Horrendously high. Theres upwards of 7 at a time. Then they respawn what feels like instantly. Trying to tame these around mid game is such a pain.
@@TiiaAurora I can definitely tell the traps you made are much better, I was hit by the dive a few times and yes I did have to go fish back a few Yi Lings that lost aggro and flew off luckily a cliff was close by and they didn’t get too far. Terrain was a big factor in some areas obstructing the flight path. Open area is best.
Hold up you took like 20 minutes to only knock a lvl 2? Idk how the taking method works but that seems a little ridiculous not saying it's your trap design because for all i know it's just the creature itself
@@tuwcouz not sure how you see a 20 minute knockout process in an 11 minute video? The demonstration is just a proof of concept not min-maxing. I used only narcotics instead of bio toxin cause it might be more accessible for beginners and requires less explanation.
@@TiiaAurora Access to biotoxin on Aberration is easier for beginners than narcotics. You use a harvesting creature on the red mushroom patches. The mushrooms that create the hallucination cloud harvest for large amounts of biotoxin. A level 5 Moschops tamed on a single rare mushroom can harvest biotoxin for you in the first minutes of the game. All mushrooms are not actually rare on Aberration. Can the Yi Ling destroy wood? That is much more accessible than stone.

@@nanothelion I played official myself for a long time and that helps having a different perspective.

You need to get hit to get the 30+ quills before it will dive bomb. Wait to enter trap untill you get the quills. Much faster.
I had it dive bomb earlier before. I try to make this fool proof.
And I am that fool 😅🤣 gunna attempt this today after failing at every turn

Great video! I found your channel after they showed your trap on fridays crunch. 😊

oh wow i just noticed its wind stripe when its attacking/gliding turns red right before it dive bombs
Correct, it gets red flares when you have 30 feathers, signaling it CAN dive bomb
Impressive work! 👍😉
Awesome trap! Gonna try it tonight

@@RaNgErs_Rep im pretty sure there are some overspawns. We have it in the redwood part

this was soo good
Let it hit you with 30 quills before you enter the trap
That’s what I’ve been doing with a 2x2 square with 2 high walls works like a charm.
@@danheath5329 I had them deaggro and fly away in exact that trap. This video is how to optimize that it won't happen
