Hi Stephen, yes I agree that is its only negative. They have a Cargo net accessory that fits the basket for $7.95 US but I would have preferred they sold it as part of the kit.
This basket is nice and useful. Unfortunately, i don't dare leave my bike locked at the supermarket 😅 . Thieves will just come with an electric cutter and make away with it
