Imagine going to work, then home everyday just living a normal life in a small town, then all of a sudden some random guys ask to go white water rafting. Life works in mysterious ways, love this. Made me smile ear to ear the whole time!
And then you just say no and forget that day.

I understand where you can come from my friend. Depression really is hard especially when it something that hit you hard to put you into this spiral. But just know something, someday it will get better and you wont need these things to "feel better" you'll be happy on your own. Just remember, take care of yourself... And think of yourself instead of what others are thinking, or about others if needed for a while.
I know where you're coming from, my friend. You'll never "feel yourself" while using intoxicants. Speaking from experience, getting clean was the most difficult but best decision I ever made. Take care of yourself!

What I did was walk around my local parks and asked if they wanted to have boba with me (a complete stranger to them) at a certain time and I repeated this til I had around 12 people who said yes and we all met at the boba spot at that time and now we are all a group of friends, previously all of us just strangers at the park with different age ranges and personalities

The guy who said he used to do a lot of drugs , I felt that , I started smoking at the age 13 due to influenced but I don’t blame anyone else besides myself for letting it take a hold , but deep down that guy hasn’t been feeling himself , and you guys most definitely helped him break his ice . Brandon is an awesome dude to commit to the experience. Everyone watches white water rafting on videos, but they do those white caps 0 justice. Some of those waves in class 3 can be 3-4 feet high. As someone who has gone twice and even done a class 5, I am proud of him. Many people would have backed out when they reached the boat ramp (I've seen it many times). Life is about living and part of living is experiencing what life and this world has to offer. He has lived the life that many have and do and he is now in a new chapter. Thanks for the inspiration to "take a step" Brandon and may life continue to improve for you!

We all had so much fun, even though I couldn’t go rafting! They came to a baseball game I was umpiring for when they got back to town. ❤ We had the best time! And yes, bros for life! Brandon’s wife and I are already planning our trip to see them. 😊
