Egészen fantasztikus, meggyőző szóló, gyónyörűen éneklő, szinte éteri csellóhangnak ható - szóló bőgő előadás, öröm volt megismerni a darabot és az előadót is.
Good performance to use as a guide! Thanks. That 2nd movement is tough as all hell, and you nailed it! Those triple stops followed by the quick runs are hellish. The 4th movement is also giving me some trouble, those string crossing are hellish.

Lots of liberties taken with the ornamentation in the first movement. Was this to imulate the more "improvisatory" character of baroque performance practice? Thanks, Drew
Ryan Pham technically yes, some double bass solo music uses ‘solo tuning’, in which the bass is tuned a whole tone up with special strings. the bassist reads the same music as usual (g minor in this case) but is actually playing a whole tone up, and the piano reads and plays the accompaniment a tone up (a minor in this case). Solo tuning is supposed to help to reach higher notes, but as a bassist i don’t bother with solo tuning since it’s only an extra tone and the hassle of finding the right accompaniment and fiddling with solo vs orchestral strings isn’t worth the pay off.
This one is by far the fairest performance of this piece I've ever heard. Great!
Really beautiful rendition, I've been listening to this on repeat since yesterday when I found that existed
great performance! this was my jury piece in college and by far this guy knocks it out of the park. chills!
The performance is excellent and the double bass player's passion is remarkable. Congratulations!
This is by far the best interpretation I've seen of this piece

Piece pour contraviolon?
Trop de prise de liberté sur le 1er mouvement je ne suis pas agréablement surpris. Cependant j'aime beaucoup les autres mouvements
was this transposed to A minor?
Yes
Bravo!Ma perche' la suoni un tono piu' alto dell' originale?
Maybe it’s the solo tuning you’re referring to

Can't believe this is a disstrack........

@@SaxandRelax the thing is, the person who wrote this song was jealous from his lute player and so this was one of the first ever disstracks

Deakin Darby If I wanted to tune it, what should I tune my g string to?
TFTB x WizTec if you have solo strings on your bass, A. If not, G.
Deakin Darby I just have regular orchestra strings
TFTB x WizTec then leave your bass in orchestral tuning. You can usually find accompaniment in orchestral tuning online
Shave down the fingerboard on the g string side that buzzing sound dampened the performance
